Lowering Kits F4i

Well.. I bought a 01 CBR F4i today.. Unfortunatley I am short.. (5'2")..
Who makes a good lowering kit? The dealer told me I can drop the bike 3 inches possibly 4 .. I know this is not really good on your bike for many reasons.. I guess I'm just a ***** where I won't ride it 1 footed

Soo anyone know about some good lowering kits?

I sat on a 99 r6 that was lowered 3inches and it was good.. still not flat footed but good enough where I could control the bike for me.

I need a lowering kit too. try softening the suspension for now, it gave my about a 1/4 inch. I also wear high heeled boots that have a space between the sole under your foot pad and he heel. There's about 3 inches high in the back and 1 in the fromt. works great. haven't dropped my bike with them on yet!

Some once told me to lower the forks through the tripple trees? and all that i would need are some tools. But I dunno. PM me if you find out more!!!

Re: Lowering Kits F4i

buy a lowering link and then slide the fork tubes higher up in the triples, make sure you lower the front and rear the same amount. use google to find the link for your bike

The front you can slide the forks throught the triples a lil and the rear requires "dogbones" you can get them from your local bike shop ($40-$60)..

Re: Lowering Kits F4i

If you are just doing dog bones you can compare them to other bikes, or get a size of a major manufacture and then get the same lenght in other bike ones on ebay for cheap, I had a ZX6r with busa dog bones lowerd it good and they are stronger because they are for a bigger bike. Keep in mind that all appicactions wont work so it pays if you have the money to get the ones for your bike the first time.

Re: Lowering Kits F4i

Yeah.. I decided to cancel the sales contract on this bike.. I called around on who supplied the F4I lowering kit and a few of the places actually were going to stop selling it due to problems they were having with it.. So I just decided it would not be the best bike for me and get my money back.. So I just got a 2002 R6 which no problems with so far
