Can you use 98-99 900rr style gauges on a 93 900rr?

Can you use 98-99 900rr style gauges on a 93 900rr?
If so what all is involved? i am doing all new EPI 98-99 style plastics and want to use the 98-99 style gauges as well if possible..

the eqrly 93-94 speedo is cable driven/95-03... are sensor driven probly too much work to accuratly work
