should i buy a TL 1000 S?

I'm thinking about buying a 2000 tl 1000 for a stunt bike; problem is, ive never known anyone that has one and dont know why i dont see more of 'em around. Anybody have any positive or negative feedback about this bike? Let me know, Thanks

Well they're heavy and v-twins, it could be done but there's better bikes.

They are heavy and the frame has been know to crack. The TL is great for most high speed stunts but once you try to do slow technical stuff the TL would be one of my last choices.

You can see the TL in action at my site www.d-aces.com

They aren't even underpowered, the 97 roll on wheelies 3rd gear, they're just heavy and a vtwin isn't the greatest for slow tricks.

not a 1.. motor trouble.. yeah

im on my 3rd 1..

the first one had 15000 miles when the crank and front rod and piston took a poop

2nd one ran fine but 2nd gear was shot..

3rd and the one in the bike is the strongest runner since new..

im a pro at the TLR motors..

side note.. i dont stunt 1% of what some of these guys on here do.. so my TL hasnt had the abuse of Corys or others

Mine sees an occasionly wheelie but alot more twisties

torque is better fer wheelies anyways

plus cruising thru the twisties in 4th gear and never need to shift is way better than my old gixxer 6 that u shifted more than Carm shifts her new bra
