900rr No Spark!!!!

having some troubles here with my 98 900, i bought it from a buddy that layed it down in the side of a car, cosmetically it was bad, the stator cover was cracked but the flywheel was untouched, the ignition rotor cover is rashed from a previous crash. I just put another ebay wiring harness in it and this is the 4th CDI that has gone in and i still have no spark... is there something i have over looked? the original CDI i think I toasted becuase the harness was split and a coil wire may have made contact with a ground wire.

I also have a used kill switch assy. on it that i got from a member on here. is there something else on the bike that would cause the bike to not have spark or fry the CDI? also tried 3 different set of coils.

one thing that came to mind. i have a chrome sub frame, does the recifier need to be grounded to aluminum? i dont know how well the 2 will conduct togeather, the chrome sub to the aluminum frame and the ground for the harness is up by the radiator.

hope this is enough info.

check the pulse generator wires. This is the small cover infront of the clutch cover. Two wires come out of it (I think they're blue/yellow and green). Make sure they are plugged in to the harness. Alot of people overlook that one.
