1000rr VS. 954rr

I am debating on buying either a 2003 954rr or a 2005 1000rr. What are your guys opinions on each of these bikes. I am just looking for something to ride around with occational wheelies and stoppies.

Re: 1000rr VS. 954rr

If you want comfort go with the 954 if you want a race bike get the 1k. The 1k will cost you a lot more though.

If this is going to be a first bike get a 250 and you might live.

Re: 1000rr VS. 954rr

the 1krr will have 25-30 more rwhp depending, unless you got a modded 954, which can be all the way up to the same power, 954s are much cheaper though, and have alot more available parts, cheaper insurance if you go that route, and can still hold their own if you know how to ridem, they are also much lighter than the 1krr, easier to wheelie, choice is yers

Re: 1000rr VS. 954rr

that whole get a small bike as a first is crap, its all about knowing your limitations and taking your time, if you rush anything you gonna **** up, for real

you can overstep on anybike, dont matter what the **** it is, take your time though, no matter what you ridin its gonna take you just as long to get to where you wanna be, first bike i ever rode was a nighthawk 750, rode it for 4 months, got a 954, never been down, been riding the **** outta mine, steppin up another 35 hp soon, it aint no thang, whatever

Re: 1000rr VS. 954rr

Get the 954. The 1000 is more race then stunt. Stunting is easier on the 954.
My friend stunts alot, and he got the 954 when it came '02 and kept it and loved it for two years. Then when the 1000rr came he got that, and boy was he dissapointed. He got rid of it after about a month or so. He said that it was nowhere close to the 954 in stuntriding...

get the 954---real cheap and its going to be something you can do any type of riding with in the future. you can take it to the track and it will perform or you could convert it into a stunt bike if you wanted to.

the new 1000rr is going to cost you around 12000 out the door while the 954 will only cost you about 7000 or 8000 out the door. i love the look of the 1000rr but personally it has no use for me as ive never been on a track and dont have plans to do it anytime soon.

and dont listen to fhl....GET A 250 OR YOULL DIE.... please...

Stunting=954 Race=1000 both are awsome bikes in my opinion its just a toss up of how your going to ride it.
