parts help?

So I put on the new stator cover and sealed it, blah blah blah.

when I started the bike it was making a noise from the stator area. I'm going out on a limb but do you guys know where/how I can get a new Rotor for the stator? (the thing that goes on the end of the crank)
I'd be much appreciative.

UHMM, did you figure out where the noise is coming from??? if you take it back apart look for scrath/score marks to see what is hitting! You need to make sure you fix what is wrong before you go spending money and throwing parts at it that might get chewed up right away!!! try to see what was making the noise and post back up!

To answer the question though, the only time i needed a rotor, i took it out of a blown up 750 motor.

I know, I'm just prepping for getting new part when I take it apart today.

You probably left a bolt loose or one rattled loose, i didnt tighten mine down enough before and it rattled loose after a few weeks but it sounds as if yours was never tightened. Like john said take it apart again (be careful you should be able to reuse the gasket if its new) and look for scratches on the inside of the stator cover and on the rotor. Bad rotors usually dont make noise just dont recharge the battery

I don't leave bolts loose, too many years working on planes and helicopters.

It was the rotor, still bent and required a little "mechanical persuasion". I started it again after the repair and I'm good to go.
