FINALLY got her back from the NYCPD!!! missed this bike sooooo much, cant wait to ride this weekend!!! Heather and I are gonna take turns between this bike and the Blk/silver/blue one that i have been riding!

never had anything impounded why so long to get it out.......that must of had some mad charges on it? for bein there so long

 

sooo long cause it's NYC... it took them from Nov til january to TRANSFER it from the station to the pound, then another month to get the release paperwork ready! LOL i can laugh about this NOW

no charges cause i wasn't charged with anything

 

damn thats not bad then. when my buddy passed and his bike got put in the inpound it was like a grand to get it out, it was only there for 3 or 4 days.

 

Yeah, but Verrattis bike was involved in all kinds of charges too, including that vehiclular manslaughter crap.... that alone probably made them slap on all kinds of fees.

 

The feeling you get when you get it back is almost worth the feeling of when it was jacked. Isn't it?

Why was it impounded?

 

was rinding in NYC, went something like this...

HC scrape with cop behind me (didn't see him)
he stopped another guy that was behind me for a wheelie...
i unknowingly turned around for another pass (there were a bunch of guys watching) and didn't see the cop, unmarked car.
stopped right near them and basically handed myself to them on a silver platter... didn't think much of it cause the NYPD had seen us wheelieing a bunch of times before that and said nothing... these guys we'ren't playing, impounded bike for not having all paperwork in line, and for the HC scrape (they were like, WTF was that?!? LOL) but i got them to not charge me with everything, got things in line with the bike, and went and got it! LOL Fun times!

HC scrape right in front of a cop??? nice john, true legion style! you never gave me the whole story about wha happen during that trip. glad to see it back in your loving arms. now if you only looked at heather the same way. LOL

 

yeah, i think they ran it over with a truck or something! lol

I tore it all down last night, only bent part was the right brake rotor which i replaced... the front end was all twisted (REALLY bad, as in the bars were 3 inches off from straight with the front wheel ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?) but i was lucky, they just twisted in the clamps, and now everything in straight.

It also has been sitting (outside) for months, so she got some TLC, new oil/filter, lubed everything... oh and i also flipped the clip-ons and cut the upper a little, can't wait to take this thing out again!

Sharon - well there were pics up that everyone was looking at so i wanted to make sure they knew which bike i was talking about... fron now on ed's bike is the Green/Blue/Black/orange/silver/carbon fiber (HB lever) bike! LOL

oh and heather - love ya babe! ... but you know you can't wait to get on the silver bike either!!!
