do you remember way back at the beginning of adult swim. the old bumpers.

The life guard on the bull horn/intercom voice... with the old people in the pool. i think i remember some with shower caps. they should bust those out every once in a while

There was the one where the guy was eating in the pool, and the Life guard was like "there is no eating in the pool" and then you hear him say something like "what is that pamento?"

yeah im just sayin im not some bandwagon family guy dude. always loved cartoons from everything from tom and jerry to ninja scroll. i wish they'd bring some more mel blanc stuff back, but oh well.

didnt they deem a lot of the old catoons racist in the late 90's and thats why they;re not on anymore?

 

Yeah, there was a big thing about the old **** being racist and all that garbage...
I mean, yeah, if you really dig into it, you can find some racial undertones, but you gotta realize the time period that that stuff was made.
One of the funniest things I find is when Yosemmitie (sp?) Sam calls bugs a cotton picker, I can't believe they would be able to get away with that type of stuff. Now adays that **** won't fly...

But yeah I know what you mean, I love the classics, i could sit and watch them old Looney toons all day long. Kids these days don't know what cartoons really are. Dora the Explorer wouldn't last a minute trying to catch the Roadrunner...

hah exactly, they were racist in some ways, but it's history. and it wasnt about racism. just had undertones like u said., but they were genious. it's like change a word or 2 if it lets me see it. Crap man , i'll even watch the black n whites with the match books raising hell after the store closes type stuff
