LOL ... its ok ... don't appologize ...

Good for her! I remember how excited I was to get on and go by myself! That's awesome! Its been so long since I have ridden I would probably feel the same way just realizing I remember how to actually do it ... LOL ...

I took the MSF course - or whatever it was ... I was so happy I did ... My husband (boyfriend at the time) had taught me ... but it was still nice to have a professional say I was good enough and actually get the license!

They are doing very well.
Amy is working a lot, and Xavier is doing great in school.

yeah she wants to hit the road this summer (she's gonna ride my street 636), and i REALLY want her to cause that would be a lot of fun, but i flat out told her that i wouldn't let her til she is ready! I want to make sure her braking and bike control is really good in case of a situation like someone cutting her off or something... a MSF course is a really good idea!!!

The best way to do that would be a weekend vacation to the insane asilum(sp).

You get to lay around all weekend, pop a bunch of pills, look at the pretty colors floating around your head...........

The problem with that plan is the fact that you can't check yourself back out.

I wouldn't have done it any other way. Its nice when your boyfriend thinks you are ready - but its reassuring to have a professional say so. Plus they have the patience, not that you don't ... but they see things all the time so they get it. Also, if you are willing to sit through the class hours and the riding time for something you really want and you are paying for it you are likely to work hard at it. They teach you a lot in those courses. How to control the bike when the rear wheel skids out ... how to drive in traffic ... what to do in the situation you mentioned ... I would DEFINATLEY say it was WELL worth the money ...

Kelm - I don't think I would get on the 250 if you PAID me ... LOL ...

I rode first on the R6 ... then whatever the MSF course provides ... but I LOVED the R6 ... it was a perfect bike for me ... as a matter of fact even the instructor at the course was glad that was what I would be riding ... he would laugh though - cause all fo the older people in the class were getting cruiser bikes, etc ... so when he would ask about certain situations like responding to a danger, etc they would always say they should slow down ... occasionally I would pipe up with the GO FASTER ... lol ... and he would laugh and say that yes, in my situation, I would be better off hitting the gas ... but only cause I was on a sportbike ... LOL ...
