How come when I post-up in a thread & then someone posts behind me, I don't get an e-mail notification when that person posts, or it doesn't show up my subscribed threads when i check my User Cp,.... even though I have chosen that option in my "Edit Options" section? I'm wondering if there is sumthing wrong w/ my computer or that's jus how SL is now. No biggie... just curious.

 

it uses cookies, and they don't always work like they are supposed to, soemtimes the browser doesn't always accept them because it is retarded, besides i am almost a post ***** and really don't want my mailbox flooded with like 30 emails (how many posts i make a day) with email from stuntlife saying somebody posted only to open up somebody sticking their middle finger at me

 

1. If i recall, you shouldn't get one if your still on the forums, it should only send them if your not here.

2. If i do recall when i coded the quick reply, it won't subscribe you to a thread automagically.

2.in your options under user cp it gives you the option to automatically subcribe to all threads you post in, so i don't understand why you would have to do it manually even w/ "quick replys".

 

1. You may be correct, it's hard to say, its possible you won't if your still in the thread. I've never looked into all the ways that it works for each case.

2. The quick reply add-on is a hack, it's not apart of the normal vbulletin coding.

 

hazeabella, you have an AOL email listed as your address, I think we may still have issues with notifications going to those because it is seem as spam. We have seen that in the past.
Then again that problem may have been fixed, not 100% sure.

 

There's a choice at the bottom when you read/delete e-mails at the bottom w/ aol, one is "deleate" the other is "report spam". If you chose "report spam" w/ one e-mail you'll NEVER get mail from that address again. I make sure i don't do that w/ SL e-mails.

But -->ME, (lol that's a funny SL name), was right... unless you chose "post reply" at the corner, you don't get e-mails. Even if you have chosen it in your SL options. What gets me is that it didn't used to be like that!

i almost exclusively use the quick reply and still it pretty much chooses which thread to subscribe me to at random

 

As i said quick reply is a hack, not a standard feature or guaranteed to work correctly.

 

How do I unsubscribe from a thread?

PS - I know this may be a stupid question with an anwser right in front of my face but cut me a break ... LOL ...

 

1.Go to "edit" at the bottom right hand coner of your post.
2.way at the bottom there's an option for "receive e-mail notification from this thread"
3.just click the little box next to it so that it is blank.

 

click the usercp button at top, you will see all your subscribed threads there and choose which ones to remove.
