Re: the great thread disappearing act? lol
I'm having an issue where the threads aren't getting moved up to the top of the list as they get new posts. They used to move up to the top so the thread with the most recent posts was at the top of the list - why aren't they doing that anymore?

GSE NICK - When I saw the time that you posted your question (midnight) it had me thinking about what caused it.
I found that vBulletin runs a scheduled task at midnight to update all subscriptions, anything without new post in 10 days gets removed. While that happens vBulletin resets the cookies. You must have hit it the very second it was doing this task. If this happens again and it's not midnight then let me know, but I'm pretty sure this was the case.
RRQT - Check the image that is attached. You should be able to click that image and it will sort the threads in the order you want. Also, if you were the last person to post then vBulletin 3.6.4 looks at it as you have already viewed that thread so it may not show up on the list till someone else replies to it.

Hi Dave -
I haven't changed anything on here since I started using the site YEARS ago ... and the threads I posted in always moved to the top. Is this something new that is going on?

Same here. And in the usercp for subscribed threads, I have to click "new subscribed threads" for it to bring the newest threads up, where as before they would automatically list em out.

Made a couple more adjustments so thread information is updated immediately instead of once an hour and set it to display threads from most recent to oldest. This 'should' take care of it.
Thanks for keeping me informed about this. Hopefully everything gets tweaked properly within the next couple of days.

After getting some feedback from the database administrator we found that there is a task that runs nightly. Since this site is so large it does take about 35 minutes to process. What we have done was push back the time that this runs so it doesn't effect those on the west coast at such a prime time.
So for a half hour at 3AM Central (4am Eastern, 1AM Pacific) you may notice some flakiness till both the master and the slave database get updated. This is the best solution for this.
