Re: changing "registered user" under my user name

i dont want to get in a pissing contest... its not about the $5.. all i wanted to do was change some letters under my name. I dont want the other services, im WAS content with all my limitations as a regular user... i just wanted to have the ability to change some letters under my name, like i use to do for FREE.

Re: changing "registered user" under my user name

I was going to donate until I saw the MINIMUM is $10.00 which mean's whoever is running this site with all the banner ads etc... is definitely making money off this site. I would have donated up to $5 but $10,$20 and $30 A YEAR is RIDICULOUS for a forum.

Same here, I spend $10 on lunch every day, but when the forum software is only $160 (1 time fee) and the hosting couldn't cost more than MAYBE $80 a month, that in conjunction with all the banner ads, the dude who owns this site is makin bank $10-$30 a year is unreasonable.

Hey if he becomes a millionaire off this forum, great for him, I am just choosing to not contribute, when EVERY other forum I post on is free or if they ask for donations, the money goes to something site related and you choose how much you want to give. That's all, I'm not hating on the man for makin money, I wish my website made money.

Re: changing "registered user" under my user name

Yah contributing isnt a big deal, hell I have contributed once and I THINK maybe twice and I dont even have a bike... lol...

Yah its a free service to sign up for and post on a message board, but there is alot of money and work going behind it that alot of people dont see..

$10 per year to contribute aint ****....thats less then .85 cents per MONTH... come on now lol....Im sure he makes a lil bit off too but its his site, so why not?

Re: changing "registered user" under my user name

I just realized that you have to contribute more than just $10 to get the ability to change that little saying under your name. I didn't realize that when I donated.
