Who to talk 2 about street fightering the gixxer?
Hey guys as most of you know i was run of the road and did some damage to the bike. After getting around the last couple of days without anything hanging of the front i have gotten to like that looseness feel in the front and the steering. i want to look in2 how much it would cost me to street fighter it like most of u said that i should do. Who 2 talk 2 about the conversion and getting the required bits and pieces? Want to get it
and mayb after Stooge show's me a thing or two down here i'll be able to post some worthy stunt pics????? :YEAH :YEAH :YEAH

you'll have to find a way to convert your clipons to mx bars
safest way is to get a new top triple clamp to suit
drilling the normal one can lead to failure (like you're whole bar unit shearing off the triple clamp when you drop your bike)
you're gonna have to fabricate a mount your instrument cluster and mount some new lights
maybe extend your brake and clutch lines as the mx bars will be higher and wider than your clipons
your air intake hoses can probably just be removed
if you're a bolt on bandit, i know there are kits in the US for converting to mx bars but they're $$$
if you have a bit of ingenuity, you can basically make all the bracketry from scrap metal
i would search on here for streetfightered gsxr600 because there should be heaps of info already

Re: Who to talk 2 about street fightering the gixxer?
F*ck streetfighting it dude, keep it real keep it faired. A personal opinion stunts always look better on faired street bikes and shows you dont need straight bars, no fairings and all the bells and whistles to stunt, you keep it raw and keep it real and f*kin faired.
If you are worryed about weight and like the lighter steering then buy your self some race fairings there alot lighter than standard sh*t and you can have them custom made as thick or thin as you like and if you dont wanna keep on replacing after every off then buy a cage or get one made. Regardless as to whether you got fairings or not a cage is a good idea its gonna save you cracking those engine casings and droping your oil everytime you loose it.
What say you.
