Worth selling as is and starting again?

Hey guys, after enquiring to get the parts i need to get the bike back on the raod so its legal again i just can't see the point in spending that much money on it when i will never get it back. Should i just sell it as it is to someone that mayb is looking for a track bike, crunchy? or hold on to it and jsut plug away as i can? The main problem i have now is that im unemployed and having no money coming i can't keep spending out on the bike

Re: Worth selling as is and starting again?

I would fighter it, but what it would cost me to do that i may aswell just fix the front normally and be done with it. The raod laws in Tassie are a little different with front headlight assembly's and my buddy got pulled up when riding his then street fightered gixxer 1k. I'd love to throw a sprocket and stuff on it but im pretty new to stunting and lets just say i dont have the basics down yet and find it hard if i dont have someone to replicate. I'l more of a see and then do kinda bloke if ya know what i mean? Im sure in time i will be able to fix the bike and get it back on the road properally, but i dont have a spare $765 hanging around at the moment.

Well, you dont need to reg it for track use, so if its still in working order trailer it to the track and start stuntin it :YEAH

I'd love to keep it as a track bike, but unfortanetly i just can't afford it, $9500 is a pretty expensive track bike in my opinion. And if i did do that then it would be years before i could save enough to buy another street bike again. I love tearing it up on roads, more so than on the track. I'm sure i will figure something out. Got in contact with a plastic welder and im taking the bike down to him next week.

Hey GrandmasterB...

Do you wanna stunt??? Cause if you do... your gonna most probably crash here and there! If you wanna stunt... cage, sprocket and maybe a 12 bar.... **** the fairings off don't worry about the rego and just go with ol' Stooge to the track and get your stunt on! Just zip tie the loose bits and gaffer tape the rest.... it's all good!

If you are worried about wasting your money... sell it as is and get a cheaper bike to stunt... but you would probably have to spend a little on a few parts then too??
