What's the news Gav?
As for the camera issue I don't have a problem with you filming but I think we should be able to do our own thing too.One of the main reasons for riding at a legal spot is we can get photos and film that we can actually show our friends/use on our websites without worries from the man

for what its worth..if gavin wants to hold the footage of the place its his call..and yeh it is true that he and he only has this place for us..Gav holds the camera while we ride..footage yes and thats what he will get..ive been working with this dude for long enough to know what he has and what he can get...yes it is a problem if you guys want footage of yer own and it may cause rackis between yourselves but it will be worth while in the end...theres plenty of chances all over the place to tape yourself.. its his place and we are invited to ride there..if i went to a place you guys had and you were busten ya ***** to make a movie and said no cameras id say cool!!! as long as my footage went somewhere..gavs got 35 hours of moto freestyle..iam sure you guys would like to feature in a DVD with the best riders in the U.S as for ronnie and ryan if they come out i have already organised to have them stay with me. i dont work and can show em around and iam sure to get some footage with those guys for one of about 3 or 4 DVDs gavs working on..i will have bikes for the guys to ride while there here even if ryan has to stoppie a Vrod..bring a still camera i say but lets leave the filming to Gav..or he will pack the ***** and get people to come that are cool with it...my heart goes out to the bloke he has put so much of his own time in and he doesnt give piggy backs..later i hope when all the **** stops flying maybe we can turn this place into a stunt show half the **** is already there..heads together guys mates is what we are...lets ride and do this ****..

*** me....is it that much of a problem to have people bringing their own home cameras I though we were all in this together?

Gav - I know you are making a business out of filming at stuntsville, Im not looking to make a Stuntsville Blockbuster DVD or anything but I do like to get something to look at, to make some shitty little web downloads...
in reality the shots will never be exactly the same anyhow. and your more likley to capture crashes if there are several cameras running.

Yes we have been invited to come and ride (at our own expenses) and I think that should intitle us to have a choice as to weather or not we bring cameras. hell I don't even own a fkin DV camera.

Thats just my and I will still be a stuntsville regardless to ride. can't wait to catch up with everyone.

I'm keen to clean that pool out if it means we can use it this weekend? what u think Gav can we organise something?

Full House.............

Why is Stuntsville STUNTSVILLE.

Because:

I want the opportunity to get footage.
I want the opportunity for stunters and wannabees to be able to practise
I want to establish new members in the AFA-Australian Freestyle Association
I want to get more riders licenced to compete

With the help of Dave and others all of this is underway.

The Australian Freestyle Association is established as the governing body of this sport in Australia and is the only body currently affiliated with Motorcycling Australia that can issued permits to hold "official" events in Australia.

Motorcycling Australia licence applications will be available at Stuntsville this weekend. Anyone else interested in licences can download from www.ma.org.au To get a licence you will need to become a member of the AFA and be proficient in various areas of stunting. The start of a National Competition will begin early next year and we would like to see as many licenced and endorsed riders as possible able to compete.

If you want to come to Stuntsville and become a member of the AFA, get licenced, practise, learn, make friends, have a good time and help this sport grow in Australia come along. If you want to come to film with your objectives to use the footage for commercial gain then sorry refer to the first reason of why Stuntsville is STUNTSVILLE above. If you want to bring your own camera for other genuine reasons no problems, I would like to think that if anyone got a good angle or shot that they would make it available to me to use in an upcoming DVD.

As for the future of Stuntsville we would like to see it grow and become more organised and offer more to members of the AFA and the sport in general. The pool needs a filter and water and it is fully operational, if anyone out there has access to any pool equipment speak up. We would like to have another Stuntsville in Nov as a xmas bash, bands, party, pool, magazine representatives, media etc.. who knows maybe even a modelling of the latest in the range from VAMP Swimwear. We are currently looking into the feasability of using Stuntsville for a show early in the new year maybe.

The AFA NSW needs some office holders if you have a little spare time, dedication and skills in any of the following areas please talk to me:

Currently:
Operations Manager - Gavin Brennan
Events Secretary - Dave Skelton
Head Scrutineer - Matt Higgins

Seeking:
Media coordinater
internet engineer

In the future we will also need volunteers to help manage and run events so if you are interested speak up.

Girlfriend, wives etc... are welcome, small charge for food and drink.. No KIDS

Programm for Stuntsville this weekend is as follows:
Gates open 8am - 9am Saturday
9am - 10am Unpack, sign on, briefing, open discussion
10am - 1pm Morning session
1pm - 2pm Lunch
2pm - 6pm Afternoon session
6pm - late Dinner, drinks, videos etc..

Sun
7am - 9am Brekkie
9am - 1pm Morning session
1pm - 2pm Lunch
2pm - 5pm Afternoon session
5pm - 6pm Gates open, pack up, clear out

At all other time the gates will be locked unless other arrangements are made.

Remember to bring your pillows and swaggs. If anyone has a spare mountain bike and is interested in having a jump competition into the dam bring it along.

Any questions post or pm.

So, where does this stand with still cameras? I shot the Moto Freestyle events and got our great sport covered in local titles such as Two Wheels, Performance Streetbike, Moto (Rapid Bikes) and the US title 2WTuner magazine (all with no thanks from Donal), but did it all for $0. That and I also supplied images to local and international riders (and video producers) for free and also had my photos from the last Stuntsville up within hours of me returning home from the event. I didn't see any of Steve P's shots anywhere???

And also, as a member of the media, I've been an integral part of helping to create sponsorship portfolios for the Sport Compact drag racing community. With this I insist that whilst still images of riders in action might be nice, in this day and age of modern technology, visual media makes quite an impact on the "money spenders" within large companies. As I too am in this for all of us and not just myself (noting that I have the same amount of respect for each and every person associated to this sport and their needs) I need to know how we can quickly and easily access footage of ourselves for this kind of portfolio component if we can not film it ourselves? Yet if I've stepped too far ahead of myself here and by saying "If you want to bring your own camera for other genuine reasons no problems, I would like to think that if anyone got a good angle or shot that they would make it available to me to use in an upcoming DVD" you mean that this is ok, then I have no problems with this.

Either way, I'll be there to spend time working on my (yet to be called) skills and I'm looking forward to spending the weekend with the crowd I'd have to say were "me bloody good mates"

Re: Stuntsville Ding Ding

Well I can't ride this weekend due to work... I will be popping in to say hello around 6pmish on Saturday night. It will be good to catch up with the boys I have met and meet a few new faces too!

Gav,

Thanks for the rundown... as long as everything being done is being done for the sport, I have no reason to disagree with it... Just let me know what I can do to help (cause I want to do what I can). I spose discussion time will be over a few drinks on Saturday night... so see you all then!

ohh btw.... anyone who wants a DVD copy of any demos I have made, bring a blank DVD disc... If you want just a demo CD, let me know and I will burn a few and bring em along.... That goes for any Stunt DVD's too!
