I hate the "Stuntlife" question of what's better: streets or parking lots. But i have to ask: where are u guys fitting it up? Are you doing all your tricks on the streets or are you practisin and learning in parking lots and drag strips?
I ask this cause i would love to have a spot to practise in and focus on my tricks but I can't seem to find anywhere to do this in the brisbane area so have been keepin it to the streets.

Please let me know where you are riding and what the conditions are like cause i want to know!!! It don't matter what level stunts your doin just post up and fill us all in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Back home stunting for my lot was just pulling lots of wheelies while out on a Sunday ride, and occasionly destroying a tyre when it was shagged anyways. I was the first of our guys to round everyone up just for a day of mayhem in one place. Boys weren't really into it to start with, but once I got a few people into along we had heaps of fun. We just used empty country roads. Nobody comes down them, cows didn't care if we ripped **** up, and no cops. Lucky we have heaps of country roads!! I have never been on a parking lot, cos they're all full of cars!!! The only dragstrip we had in our town got turned into a vineyard a few years ago, so that kills that one. Anyways, I just like riding and being a hoon on the road, problem solved.

To be honest though, once I get back home again, I will try and make an effort to find somewhere close to home and safe to practice on. Might actually help me learn something if I'm not worried about being caught!

 

Yeah it helps if you can find good roads and no traffic, but it seems that after a while the cops seem to hear about where we go stuntin so we keep looking and keep moving.

 

Thanks for the replies fellas, i've found a few spots off public roads to practise at by myself, but it doesn't seem to matter how isolated it is....THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE NEARBY OR DRIVING PAST WHO CALLS THE COPS!!! It really gets on my nerves because i'm not hurting anyone or doing burn-outs, i just wish they would come over and and ask me to leave if they have a problem with me being there rather than calling the cops. I havn't had any serious problems with the cops when they come out, i usually just leave when i see them coming.

Like you guys have said, I've just taken to practisin on out of town roads and not staying in one spot too long. But i'm getting sick of long-**** drives before i can really get stuck into it. Oh-well, guess I'll just have to keep lookin for "THE SPOT" where i can stunt all daywith no worries.

Hi Fellas, have you tried the industrial area of Town, we are in the ACT and believe me when I say there are f^&k all places around where you can ride with out being harassed, I found a sweet back street in one of our industrial areas, it only has Buildings around and no through traffic (Its dead after hours or on a Sunday), try for something like that, I have tried parking lots but the quality isn’t very good unless its a mall or large offices but then there are always people around.

keep getting done on the roads, used to go to an industrial estate that had the roads built but no houses, cops are patrolling it now just doing mine on public roads a bit out of the way. problem is when a car see's you doing a christ etc, one day its going to be a cop im searching for a long strip now

Yep I'm hearing you, those cops are everywhere, I changed states got 12new points on my licence, lasted all of about 9 months.....DOH!

Thats the ****, Its hard being in a small area where everyone knows everyone.

 

Lots are OK for a little while, but the streets where it's @!

 

Know how u feel would kill 4 a spot just 2 let loose but like every1 else am stuck 2 the streets and stuck with hassels with the cops

I know it's an old thread.......BUT, are you guys only stunting at organised practice days and spots or still hitting up the quiet local spots like me (when my bike's going!?!)????

 

i travel over an hour if i have to on w/e if it means i have somewere to ride for even an hour with out gettin hasseled by the cops. but like always sooner or later u loose that spot and ur back lookin again. its only a matter of time before there will be enough of us doin this sport here in australia and there goin to have to accept it and give us somewere to ride. wishfull thinkin at the moment though.

 

i found a spot, quite as.. no through road, excellent bituman and it's only about 15mins from my place... carparks are too risky unless ya got permission... i've done heaps of research into it, and yeah, ya quite back road is more safer from cops than a carpark..

 

I dont ride a bike so cant help ya hendo
