new spot
Went out and had my first ride at a local kart track yesterday, it's amazing how much more relaxed you can be when you're not looking over your shoulder for the po-po all day.:YEAH
Was fortunate enough to share the track with Mr Allan Morrison (sir) and fark that man can ride. awesome to watch, but a little intimidating when I'm doing my trademark 10o'clock chop-chop down the back straight and I can hear that 6R right behind me.
gave me some good tips though, and I ended up doing the best wheelies of the day on the way home Definately hope to ride more with this guy.
Enough talk, heres pics;

The track's at port Gawler, a property where for $25 and signing a release, you can use the facilities for all day, they have MX, SX, enduro, baja buggy, freestyleMX and gokart tracks, all we have to do is arrange with the kart guys to share the time. It's close to work for me and Greeny, so we'll be hitting it during the weekdays a couple of nights a week when I get back. Oh YEAH!
Puer, just tell the track manager what you want to do (they don't usually like static burnouts) present them with a responsible, safe attitude and execise self control the first couple of times you get on the track, you want to make them comfortable that your not going to trash the track or present a danger to other people and property, and that if you do wipe out, you're not going to be a di(khead and try to sue them. Stooge might have some advice coz he's had to negotiate the use of venues before. we just rocked up and handed over some money.
