i would have been out there today but i did my back out at work and they wouldnt let me ride my bike home and sent me to the doctors..
Have to leave it till after 5 so the streets empty..

If you write a letter telling them you intend to pay, you're just having trouble getting the money together you can sometimes stretch it out longer!

Ah well that's what happens when someone puts up a pic of my man and his daughter on the quad and starts questioning his parenting skills. We Kiwis are very protective of our own.

I didn't get involved in it, but I did read the responses - was some funny stuff and some downright nasty stuff. I hope all Kiwis aren't judged by what some said.

ahahaha was that you guys? i thought it was hilarious. it doesn't bother me any...i find it amusing and it funny. people on that bored is cool, but some are uptight where you can't joke around at all.....like i made up a fake screen name to be funny, and within 10 minutes i got a pm saying i needed to delete the name

 

for the parenting skills being questioned...it's very easy for someone who doesn't have kids to judge, i have two kids, and i would take them for rides on my dads quad all the time when he used to have one....i didn't have helmets for them, so i wouldn't go fast or anything....they loved it, had a ball, who cares...is it dangersous yes, but it's not like i was out popping wheelies on it (yup that's right i've popped a wheelie on it before when i was riding by myself :YEAH ). and my son, who is 4 has rode on my friends streetbikes on two seperate occasions. he wore a helmet that time, and when both of them rode on the fiddy they had to wear a helmet the whole time.

Dude if you don't pay the fine SDRO will get in touch then you can buy your self another few months,

I got a fine for doing 150 in a 80 zone on my "P"'s back in the day. It was $1500 and 3 months suspension, I was going to pay it but If I paid it when I was on my P's then I would have lost my license, so I Waited and waited **** I must have got like 6 or 7 letters buy this stage, anyhow waited 6months till I got my full license then went in paid the fine, I still had the suspension however I didn't loose my license....and I dnd't have to go back on P's for 12 months.

 

Bender ive done that once before with my car licence red P's lost all the points go i went and got my greens before i payed it..
I thaught if the fine when to SDRO i would auto matically losse the points its a 3 point fine and i only have 2
I have writen a letter im sending off on monday pleding my case .. big 1 and a half page sap story bout how i will lose my job blah blah if i dont have a licence
and my other idea ( i dont know if i should say this here) is pay a little bit extra and suposadly the points dont get taken off till i cash the check they send me for the extra money?? which will be never

 

I think that has changed now (not 100% sure, but about 95%, lol)... I did the same back in the day, but I think they caught on to it and now when it gets transfered to the SDRO, they automatically deduct the points and add $50 on your fine... then you got the debt collectors to deal with!!

I stand corrected.... in that case if they do not pass you appeal then it would be worth going to court...

Eariler in the year where I got stung at 150, I lost 2 points for not displaying P plates in the Car, I only had one point left, we went to court and the judge said the points must stand however he said I could still drive effectivly meaning I had no points to loose but permitted to drive, I would have lost my job with out a license and thats what I told the judge.

The clerk said to me it pays off to get a letter from your boss stating you a good worker etc and they need you etc, its also worth mentioning anything you have done to benifit you community, clean up australia day etc....
