Changing tyres without a machine.

Trying to find out the best way to change a rear tyre when there is no tyre changing machine about. ie out at a spot or in my garage.

Yeah i know the easy way would be to get a second rim, I want to just need to find one at the right price.

I have had a look on the net for a few options and found these.

I ask this cause it looks like i might have found a legal off road spot but its a fair way form any place to get a tyre changed. And i wanna pop some tyres LOL
We will be trailering the bikes there space is not that much of a issue.

What do you guys use?

Cheers

Re: Changing tyres without a machine.

i use a shovel to break the bead and two decent sized levers with some lube when fitting the next tyre. or soapy water works good aswell.

Well can anyone give me some directions?
Keep it simple, like your telling a 4 year old what to do.

Re: Changing tyres without a machine.

buy a bead breaker from a motorcycle shop, and some tyre levers, and one of those little doovers which you screw the centre out of the valve to let all the air out,
*break the bead with the bead breaker
*now to do it all ya probably best to get someone from a dirtbike shop or somewhere like that, how to do it cause its a bit of muckin around, watchin someone will help you heaps to get the technique, for a long time i had a bloke with a tyre machine do it for me ,but that stopped and had to do em myself, but ya got to learn to do it sooner or later if ya wanna kill the streets with rollin burnouts
