hey guys ive just scored myself a klx 250 for $100 bucks,
The motor needs a new top end and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get one second hand from?
or if possible does anyne know if a klx 400 motor would fit into a 250 frame,

Hey G4IT u could always swap him the blade and call it even dude

Rick the 400 motor is slightly larger but with small mods to the back of the frame and from what i was told the mounting point of the block it should fit straight in.

As for parts i dont know off hand but will keep my eye's and ears out for you.

You after a complete motor or just the head champ???

Rick, I would start calling the major wreckers interstate, like Metros, or Vic ones. I would be surprised if you cant find one at all mate, except for the fact that wreckers would most likely want to sell the complete motor, not bits of it. Fark, for $100, even if you spend another $1000 your in front. Any chance I can borrow it to learn stunts (once its fixed of course)? hehe

 

thats whyi wanna put a 400 motor in it so its a little easier than a 250 to pop up there

 

ive called a few of em but so far noone has nothing thats why I asked in here

 

wich ones have u rang, and what did they say? sometimes they are just lazy karnts and will prolly have 50 of them in the back somewere but couldnt be bothered goin to have a look depending on part.

well i have never personally e mailed a wrecker for parts, but cant imagine them getting back to u anytime soon. i could be wrong though as i said i have never contacted them that way. if i get the chance i will ask around for u dude. no promises though. the price: if u cant find anything i get to buy it off u
