The New Kid

To everyone,

Im new to all this and am hoping to get a little help. I am about 3 weeks from taking delivery of a 2004 Gixxer 750 and am looking to stunt it. Is there anywhere in syd or even aus that you guys recomend where i can get 12bars, crash cages and any other gear to set the bike up to stunt. I was thinking of fabricating them myself but i really could not be stuffed. Any help would be appreciated. Also is there any good spots in syd to practice without getting attention from the cops?

cheers. :YEAH

Hi Jonny

Go to http://www.freestyleingenuity.com/ for your cage and bar. That's about all you should need to get started.

I wish I had the money to stunt a new bike

Man you obviously have a few $$$ to throw around then.....
If coin is no object then buy your cage and bar, otherwise make them yourself. Not hard and you will save alot of money in the end. Post some pics up of the bike when ya get it man, the 750's are a sweet ride :YEAH

Re: The New Kid

Thanx boys i really appreciate it.

A little secret on where to source a new bike. Once a month Fowles auctions in sydney have all the nrma repairable write of bikes. There is always yamaha r1s, gsxr 750/1000 and cbr 954's. Ive been told that they normally flog them off for aroun $6K and the damage is not to bad especially considering that its goin to be used for stuntin. The last gsxr 04 model i looked at probably needed aroun 1k to get it running again so thats 7k for an 04 model gsxr 750. Not bad eh? :YEAH

Re: The New Kid

like i said its an action so the prices and the damage really does vary. Best bet would be to go and have a look first to get a feel of what is available and prices. i was originally looking for a 954 but ive been told that parts are pricey and not as available as GSXR's

Re: The New Kid

Welcome aboard bro and it looks like the guys have sorted you already with some advice.
In terms of cages etc another option to try is Powers
http://www.powersbikeworx.com/index_2.html
They make some nice stuff for the gixxers and that's what I've bought.
Lastly if your going to change gearing, here's your answer: www.thrustcompany.com
Takes longer then chain gang but you save some good $$ bills.

Re: The New Kid

Oh yeah don't listen to Bender. He only wants other people to own Hondas so his not so jealous of other peoples ride being better and regretting the day he made the decision to go to the big wing.
