just cause on a 125 you have to have that thing to the tin every where you go and on my 250 i dont have to be shiftin all the time so i can concentrate more on set up before i hit something......but thats just me .....do what you will and ride safe.....

Re: Best 125 for FMX

i have freestyled my yz125 but u get no pop off the ramp...you have to go into the ramp faster and that causes your bike to soak up some of the hit..if you are serious about freestyle a 250 is a must....to hit a ramp properly its all about rolling to the ramp and letting the bike power you off it...this way is much smoother and you get alot more pop...a 125 just doesnt have the power to get you the distance your need when u need it...the frontside of a landing is never fun...

Re: Best 125 for FMX

All you guys must not like KTMs? Thats what I would run. And for sure, if your really serious about FMX, get a 250, dont waste your time with a 125. But I suppose if your just starting out, your not gunna be hittin ramps 24/7, so which means that your riding around and maybe a few MX races. BUT def. if you can afford it, got with the 250.

Re: Best 125 for FMX

125's are fine for fmx, just more clutch and shifting, you can get more pop with the clutch, i have ridden every brand of bike there is out there, rm's are easy to throw around in the air and corning are sweet, and the ktms 125 put out tons of power, the ride is very different though, yz's not to bad of a motor, the 250s rock, cr's have good lowend, kx's i just dont like, kx250 pulls hard up top.....its all rider preference on what bike you like.........oh yeah huskys are slow, i wouldnt even take a sponsership, with a free bike
