cr250 problems
Hi, i need some help with my bike, im ridin a 96' honda cr 250,with an fmf fatty, power core silencer, and a boyseen ram valve, and the suspensions bone stock. i was wondering if adding flywheel weights(stealthy) would lessen the power hit(traction is presious), i ride mostly tight trails but get into open fields and run out of gearing, thinkin bout addin a tooth on the front and adding a couple on the back.also i went to the track two weeks ago and my rear kept kicking up. the bike was tore down over the winter, and i think the shock leakd some nitrogen, cause the rear suspension feels more spongy than it did before,i turned the rebound down some and it helpd a little, and changing the compression barely helps like it did before,i'v got it 2 clicks out and it feels like im riding on a freaking sponge.ok for trails, but not the track.also the front rebound adjusters are seized, how do i get so lucky?is headshake related to the suspension or is it characteristic?im getting it about 3/4 throttle in 4th and about 1/2throttle in 5th i weigh 185 lb. any tips on setup? also around here we like the dark, how hard are lighting coils to install? thinkin bout getting one from baja designs.
Any help is apreciated-thanks

Not sure what sort of riding you do, but from what your saying you would probally be better off swaping or selling your CR and try to get something on the lines of 4 Stroke 400+ or a Suziki RMX250, I had a CR and I just swaped it for a WR426 and I can honestly say I will never buy another 2 stroke.
If you don't sell it then think about getting the suspension rebuilt, it will probally cost you around the $300US but its well worth it also get the Static Sag set and maybe someones, as for the power thing, get used to it cause its a 2stroke, try using the clutch more and maybe Lower the rear sprocket size, I used to run a 46 on the rear with a stock front sprocket. even -1 in the front and a 50 on the rear worked well for me in the tight stuff.
The head shake thing is another CR charastic I had on mine but it could well stem from poor suspension setup, I must admit that it did improve when I got my shocks rebuilt. I also think holding on with Your knees will help that probelm not to mention the snappy 2 stroke power delivery
Also do you self this favour and get some good tyres on there if you don't already, I run Mitchelin S12 on my bikes and if the ground is hard I would suggest using a M12 instead. seriously you will notice the difference straight away.
