Learn to ride something like a CRF150 or something in that area before you jump on a MX bike. Learn some basic skills before you even think about riding freestyle . And I would research a lil into what kinda bike you want cuz the new CR's are junk. Thats just my , and how tall you are has alot too do with an 85 as well

boring out a bike isnt something i would reccomend, ive never done it unless you score a cylinder, its not the power that will be a big issue its suspension especially for freestyle

Re: Could I Handle A Cr125

Yamaha's YZ125 are far Superior to the CR's and KTMS have the strongest motor but the worst suspension. Why not try to be original and do your own thing instead of trying to be someone else?

Re: Could I Handle A Cr125

Just a word of advice.. Start with small jumps, get use to the bike, its brakes, throttle, clutch and all. Before you attempt to destroy yourself. Most of these FMX guys have riding since they were about knee high. Its not something you learn over night. You should be fine on a 125, just remember to stay within your limits and always wear your gear.

Re: Could I Handle A Cr125

dude get a 250, u cant ride freestyle on a 125, they dont have the power in 2nd gear for it, ull need to be in like 4th, and a 250 u dont need to use the clutch that much, anyone who knows anything will tell u a 125 is harder to ride than a 250, they beat u up more, the only diff riding them, is a 125 is wayyyyyyy lighter in corners, but fmx isnt about cornering, go with a 250,look at rc, hes only 5'6 135lbs and hes haulin *** on a 450
