Im buying a 03" CR125

Whats up Fellaz.Im going to buy my first real dirtbike really soon, and its going to be a CR125. Im hopeing to get the 03" model and well, if werst comes to werst Im going for the used models from just recent years.I was told to get the 97 or 98 model and up, because of its aluminum frame or something like that. If You Own a CR125 Can you tell me the Pros and Cons of this bike?

Little tip, u guysmay be all concerned bout pipes and silencers (i was like that b4) But the really money is in porting. For 120$ you can have eric gorr port u bike and make it crazy. Easily beats a 180$ pipe.

im not trying to drop hate on anyone on here but 90% of guys that i see with moded bikes(pipe, port, whatever) dont have the skill level to even put all of their stock motor to use

just keep in mind that it dosent do you any good to have a bike with tons of horse power if you dont have the skill to use it..

good luck with your search!

Yea, its 90% rider 10% bike. Example: Some kid that races 85s in PA can win in 125 and 250 classes. One time When the 125s left the gate he was just puting on his goggles and he lapped every racer out there . Thats skill

Re: Im buying a 03" CR125

I just sold my 02 cr125 which was the fastest 125 ive ever riden. But the stock Cr125s are slow as ****. My dad is a mechanic and he found many tricks that make the CR go faster. If you get the bike and are intersested i can sell you a part for a $100 that will make for difference than doing a pipe. Its a powervalve governor that makes a hell of a difference and is a great starting point to make your bike better
