Re: FMX products
Don't waste ANY money on mods. Check your PMs. I run a STOCK RM 250, except for clamps and bars. But I do over the bar tricks. Any bike 97 or newer in good shape should be able to handle any jumps you are going to do with it for a while. A good site to check out is arsenalmx.com but like I said before your money is better spent on riding lessons. I watched a 16 year old kid get a trakiotamy in Oklahoma at a show I did because he rode over his head. Take your time, there is nothing wrong with being a beginner and learning the right way, their is on the other hand something wrong with being a dumbass and hurting yourself doing something that you aren't ready for. 1 more thing, it's best not to ask to many oppinion questions on forums, like what pipe you should buy. You'll get answers from people who are not you and ride differently.
Re: FMX products
, you could do that but then you would be just like the rest of the ramp robot half *** riders. I've ridden with guys who can do flips / kods/ hart attacks ect. but can't ride sand pits or any other nateral terrain. that is pathetic. I love my ramp but if I had my choise I'd own huge amounts of acerage with all kinds of dirt hits and in 1 spot have a fmx ramp park.:YEAH :YEAH my perfect world..... Re: FMX products

If your trying and tricks all you really need is a good suspension, shave your seat, cut your fenders with a dremel tool. pick a bar that you feel you can pull through easy. little grip tape on the forks for clif hangers and lazyboys. then its just seat time to get used to what you like
Re: FMX products
I get payed almost that to not flip, mainly becaus I've been involved for so long.. But I know what you mean, I also own a couple of ramps. I make a living riding. trick wise I'm not the greatest , but I'm picking up newer trick every time I ride. I lost 2 years of riding due to a bad move that was suposed to progress my career, ( moved to 6.5 acers with ex payed all bills bought her a car and then I couldn't ride there.) If it wasn't for getting my deal with team Suzuki I probubly still wouldn't be able to ride. And trust me I'll post up the pics as soon as I get home and I stop shaking...lol

Re: FMX products
TOTAL LUCK!!! It has very little to do with my riding. Friends mom knew the team manager, they needed a rider, they flew me to Cali for a try out, I got it. First things first NO sponsor will sponsor someone that is not a possible marketing tool. You need to build a portfolio, good high quality pics of your riding, race results, - if racing , Demo dated and locations as well as pics of you at the demo's for brownie points have some pics during autograph sessions ect. Right now just worry about becoming a good RIDER NOT FMXER. Once you get your skill down take some pics and maybe some vid. ( b4 doing this get to know people at the local shop) Then when you have some good content go to the shop and talk to them about a minor sponsorship= maybe 10-25% discounts. Build a good relationship with your local shop. Then when you are consistant and safe enough to do demos try to find someone who can get you a local show, You should make NO LESS then $500 even though you will be excited about getting paid to ride except NO LESS THEN 500 . Once you get the demo's start sending resumes out to sponsors you would like. Tell them exactly what you want, and most importantly let them know exactly what you will do to help them and explain how. send a schedule of your shows and keep them up to date. get to know your sponsor rep and keep him/ her posted. thats about it.:YEAH
Re: FMX products
Rode with east coast extreme for a couple of years. ( Rudy, Kenny Yoho, Travis Willis, Jerry jackson,I no longer ride with those guys.) i ALSO DID CLEAR CHANNEL STUFF HERE AND THERE, amta, TORGUSON MOTORSPORTS , pAUL sHAFER MOTORSPORTS, and a few other smaller ones , fairs and stuff like that. Then I started my own team. I'm in well with some promoters, I work with them to get show sponsors and in turn I get paid more. . I'm actually trying to really up my game. I pretty much suck by todays standards. I also ride for team Suzuki ( www.decosterskids.com ) Just having them back me helps in pay.
