four stoke???

i found 1st from a dead stop felt the most comfortable to me, but 2nd is alot easier to get some distance..

pull the clutch in, twist the gas a lil, let the clutch out FAST, keep on the gas till your up and just feather it once your up.

Re: wheelie a 125cc

my bike has a top end pipe so it has absoloutly now low down on it, its not really good for learning though as its pretty hard to get the same wheelie twice, one minute it stays low, so you gas it a bit and it shoots up high and you back off, then the next time its low again etc. but saying this a few lads up the road can wheelie there 125 CRs for ever. I clutch it up with a big handfull in second or lower revs in first and make the shift(sometimes).

not on a 2 stroke, unless you want to get taken for a ride.

Re: wheelie a 125cc

I usually clutch it up from second gear and go from there str8 to 6th gear it takes alot of time to get used to wheelies on a 125 i got owned numerous amount of times 2.Most important thing to do when ur starting out is to learn how to cover the rear brake. Those pics above looks like power wheelies tho.

They are off the clucth but they are power wheelies. Havent got brake control on bikes yet. In MX boots i find it hard aswell. Im just learning but one minute it snaps up really viciously, then the next 2 will stay low, so i get used to it being low then the ****er tries biteing me again but got a fiddy now aswell My RM has a top end pipe and jetting to suit and it is really boggy off the clutch low down but i mainly ride tracks so never get to practise

Re: wheelie a 125cc

Haha all these guys afraid to wheelie a 2 stroke.

How do you think they did them in 1999? If you can't smoothly wheelie a 125 then you need to work on your throttle/clutch control. I have never ever had to use my brake on the 125, and have ridden it for about a mile or two on one wheel. Never once looped it either. Only looped a wheelie once on the cr80 i used to have.

Re: wheelie a 125cc

i'm always on one wheel. but i learned by doing stand ups. You feel more comfortable and confident when your standing.

Re: wheelie a 125cc

Better you lift the bike in its powerband, that way, you get less nasty PB surprises.

Re: wheelie a 125cc

my cr125 holds wheelie thru 1st and 2nd just from pure accelleration speed sitting at normal riding position. i never really tried to wheelie any crazy distance but if i did dump the clutch like someone said the rear tire breaks loose and front wheel barely lifts up. then it pops up nicely when i shift 2nd.

Re: wheelie a 125cc

i find it easier standing on seat now. Just bounce the sussy in second, and it sits low for a bit, then at the PB goes nice and high, but need to be choppy with throttle. No engine braking too lol.
