Re: crf250x problem

run regular unleaded GAS in it, the oil supply is in the cases. the engine in your crf works just like a car minus some cylinders. but if u really need to for emergeny purposes like if u get stuck on a trail and ur buddy is riding a 2-stroke (but chances are he will run out before you) u can run premix, it will just smoke alot. but when u make it back to ur truck or home drain it out and clean or change the spark plug. But don't try running straight gas in a 2-stroke, it will seize up.

Re: crf250x problem

yeah run regular gas like u put in ur car, but u can run premix if it came down to it, it will just smoke alot and the heads valves and plug will need cleaning.

Re: crf250x problem

the "f" in crf means 4-stroke and the "x" means enduro. premix in a 4-stroke, talk about rich.

Re: crf250x problem

top speed is 75 stock....I just bought a crf250x two days ago and had all my questions answered at the Honda dealer. What's up with dirt bikes costing $6400 bucks these days Still fun to ride just the same.
Enjoy!

Re: crf250x problem

2 strokes are funner to ride. 125s especially. Workign teh clutch and trying to be in the right gear is more fun to me than staying in 2nd or 3rd gear and just rolling on the throttle. Plus I aint got the money to keep one runnning.

Haha yea right, maybe if you put it in neutral and run it down the biggest hill you can find that goes on for miles. Your pushin maybe 85-90 with that. I'm runnin a 500cc and i'm pushin 120-125.

Re: crf250x problem

dont buy the 2004 crf250s the x or the r they all have valve problems, if you already have one, sell it fast or take it to a dealer and have them check it out.
