ftrain is a decent person
Why did you alternate 2 screws and 1 screw on the middle treads? Why not just keep in 2 studs for all the middle and one for the sides?

i alternated in the center for more traction. with that pattren we get 3 different studs on the ice at once instead of 2.
as KB would say its the CANADIAN hook-up !!

i also treated the inside of the tire to protect it in case a stud stuck thru. we have 3 pre studded sets ready to go and 8 more sets coming on friday!! they sell fast, so jump!!!!!!
you can get them as shown in the pic. or assemble them yo self !

Why wouldn't someone who wants to do this just put small self tappers in the nobbies?

It does look cool.

Those gold screws have a larger raised head. Way sharper edges too. Probably twice as high as some self tap sheetmetal screws. They bite like a ****. I bet with enough in the front tire stoppies on ice would be possible.

hey ding dong...you missed a bunch of knobbies...

you MUST put a screw in each knobbie, as well as TWO in the middle...believe me, i KNOW from experience..

looks good though, and you are providing a GREAT service-lord knows i dont wanna stud up anymore tires than my own this year!!

gold screws will not provide enough grip for endos....not even close....these screws are exactlly what McNeil Bros Racing used last year to dominate the competition...of course, you need two in each middle **** and every side **** needs to be studded.

just curious, what did you guys do for the inside of the tire to prevent tube poppage?

the idea of alternating the middle is a good one in concept, but in reality, you will lose traction...remember, the tire will flex a bit, so even with two in every center ****, the second **** from the middle will still grip...

everyone who has a fiddy should grab these up QUICK!!! twenty bucks to have someone else stud your tires is a smoking deal....i'm glad i'm not doing the studding!!

perfactor coming through in the clutch! i like this!!
