Hey nick, The blaster is a perfect starting quad for stunting. Very easy to wheelie and play with. However, you'll want to go with the EX or Z when it comes to hardcore ****. The EX and Z will hold wheelies well over 50mph, while the blaster may not. For now though... I'd say stunt what ya got. If you find that you need more power for certain tricks... then it may be time to upgrade. Good luck and drop the hammer!

I think Andrew is probably right....the Blaster wouldn't be bad to start off on, which by the sounds of it, is what you have been doing.

What tricks do you have down so far? The main thing to work on is standard wheelies, and force yourself to get the brake and clutch control down.

I think I did things the wrong way last year and never bothered learning clutch and braking, and it REALLY limited the tricks that I could do.

I spent some time last winter when there wasn't much else to do, just riding slow wheelies and getting the feel for the brake and clutch....it helped a ton for me this year, and now it's basically an instinct to hit either one when needed. It also helps your confidence, and it makes it a lot safer too.

As for if you should upgade quads....You probably will want to at some point....I mean, with enough practice I would think that most tricks that are out there can be done on a Blaster, but an EX or Z might make it more enjoyable.

I don't know which one is better (Z or EX), I don't think anybody really does, and I think that is because they are so similar. The Z has reverse which means a few more options if you are creative. You'd be set with whichever one that you like better, or can get the best deal on.

Take it easy man.

Spoken like a true champ. That'll be my first task.... learning the basic wheelie.

If I was you...I would probally trade it for a 250 ex or z, so you can have smooth 4 stroke power, and have a little more than your blaster.

Stunt what ya got. A used EX or used Z (if you can find one that's together ) is all you need for stunting. Stunting is all about ballance point. It's like "the force" in this kinda riding. Without it you can't do ****. Go out in a smooth area, put that blaster in 1st, give her some throttle and dump that clutch. That'll get you near BP. From there you'll be able to judge whether to use throtte to bring it higher, or the rear brake to pull the nose down. Practice practice. There's no other way. Goodluck.
