hehe, i would love to buy a bike, but my f***'n parents won't have it. Just yesterday, I came home from school to find my room stripped of my bike and stunt pics, my DTE t-shirt and video gone, then my father ripped my DTE hoodie off of me, deleted all of the stunting multimedia on the computer. I had over a gigabyte of bike stuff, and a GB of music, gone!!!! He said that I had way to much stuff on the computer, and it was slowing it down. He don't know much as you can see, and I had 2 GB filled of my stuff, on a 40 BG hard drive, that isn't much, and I had 30 GB free!!!!!!!If I wasn't a sane person, I would of killed them!!!!!!!!
OOOOOHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! Fortunatly they don't know about the forums, but I'll still be browsing them at school. You see I went up to Wal-Mart and started tricking there on the outskirts of the parking lot, and my father's friend works there and she told my father, and my father screwed me over. I don't even have a pedal bike to ride anymore!!! Sorry for the long post, I just really needed to vent. Thanks all for post'n, if I ever get out of that shithole, I will definatly pick you guys up on the offer. Until then, thanks!!!

In the meantime, THAT TOTALLY SUCKS MAN!! Your Dad is a meatball!! You should partition the HD and password protect like 10GB for yourself
hehehe. It sounds like he isn't thrilled with stunt riding (very normal). I went through a few years of opposition with my family / friends. They learn to accept it. It's your choice. It's good to see you're still on here chilling w/ all of us. Post away!!! We enjoy the company.Lata,

am i the only one that has at least one parent who is not against bikes? my father didnt want me to get my own car for some reason but then i mentioned gettin a bike and he was all for it. that same weekend we went out lookin for a good deal. the only catch was that he had to be able to ride it. of course i was all for it and seein my dad pull some sick wheelies was pretty sweet too. well that 600 is gone and now im gonna be on a 900 this spring. my dad is makin me get a leather jacket and gloves but i got no problem with that cuz its a good idea. my mom does not like me on a bike but me and my dad over-ruled her, haha. i did convince my mom though that payin for my own stuff was a good idea and taught me responsibility, so i guess she just has to get use to it.

Hey All!! ShannonC6 and GixxerPrincess (Tara), hell, I'd be willing to take the bike off your hands and buy it from you, but I have a few probs in the way. 1. My parents would disown me and probably kick in my face. 2. I don't have a bike permit, I have been riding my uncle's bike in the middle of knowhere so we wouldn't get caught. 3. Getting up to Boston to get it. I could take the train, for I live only a mile away from the Halifax Commuter rail station. 4. Insurence, I have a little over $4500 in the bank, which would cover for a while until I get another job. 5. If I did get a bike, I would have to store it, and that's not the problem, but my parents would probably pour sand in the crankcase or put sugar in the gas tank, then no more bike. So you can see, it would be quite impossible now. Sorry i havn't responded for a while, mom and dad won't let me on the computer at home, so I have to do this at school. I understand what your saying about moving out and that it's not all it's cracked up to be, I will put up with my parents for a while and milk living at home for all it's worth. I do intend to go to college. I will probably not get a bike for a long time. And don't get me wrong, I love my parents and they love me, but our differences in opinion are the problem. Ok, gotta run, I will post more tommorrow. Thanks!!

i had to wait until i moved out to get a bike (19yrs old i think)...even then i didn't tell them about it...that one got stolen, so i told them i was buying one the next spring...moved back in, bought a bike, parents were pissed until i brought it home...my mom really like it, and dad just thought i was a moron...just push long enough, they'll cave....and don't hint at the stunting...most parents wouldn't understand....
edit: do your parents a favor and take the MSF course...make it seem like you're trying to be responsible about the whole thing
