ftrain, i lost the post where you had a question...

but here's what you gotta do.

just drill those gold screws right into the knobbies...if you can fit two per knobbie, then do it. you need a drill and a socket so you wont cut up your fingers holding the spinning studs all day.

you need to use heavy duty tubes if you can find them and coat them with baby powder to prevent tube pinching.

to cover the studs fromt he inside of the tire, i think you need to a thin piece or carpet...i'll double check this one with my bro...you also could use the middle of another tire, or even cut a bad tube up...

fyi, one studded tire down, one flat to fix.

one more fyi, as soon as these gold screws touch tar, they are toast...keep 'em on the ice....even woods riding will dull them out....stay tuned for more info in the coming weeks on different setups as well as fiddy ice racing action dates.

i should see all of you on friday night, hopefully i will remember what happens.

we used sheet metal screws last year and we hooked up fine...they are cheaper than the gold screws so if you dull them out your more willing to replace them.plus you can get them in shorter lengths so there is less of a chance of puncturing your tubes.....but this is just my 2 cents..i'm sure the gold screws will hook up like crazy...but mine is just a cheaper whay out

My question is that the tires have 5 ***** wide. Two of these are smaller ***** that stuck out to the side. Do I stud those small ***** that stick out to the side?

Diagram A of **** profile on tire
(small side) (big side) (center double wide) (big side) (small side).

Diagram B of **** profile on tire

o [] [__] [] o

Do I stud the tiny "o" *****???

Stud like this?
* * ** * *

or do not stud small side left and right?
* ** *

* = screws

electrical tape over the screws could help prevent the tube from pinching

yes, f train, put a stud in every **** you have except for the stubby one between your legs...

do the fat ones in the center with two studs, and one for all othre *****...if you put too many per knobby, they will rip out...but you need the side ones for the mad lean angle you will be trying to experience as i blow by you on the outside....just got the new clutch for the 88 power...

KB in da hizzzzouse. I am studded and mounted. I used the super secret Canadian stud pattern.

So when are we doing this? When? Where? What time?

Is doors pond in Manch ready for us? How about Massabesic?

I used old tubes to line the inside of the tire with some 3m spray adhesive from the craft store. I got some silk flowers for my arrangments that I make while I was there too. You know those nice silk ones that you make to put candles in. Yaaayyyyyyyyy I like crafts.

Well anyways. Baby powdered the eff out of the tubes. Put a bottle of slizzzime in each tube. Now I just gotta try it oou.

So yeah, when and where?

It was 49 degrees last night in ManchVegas.... you won't catch me on that ice anytime soon. I'll let you guys test out the waters first. Though I did see some sled tracks on the ice up by my place, even though the ice clearly isn't that thick. Oh yeah - there's a nice lake less than a mile from my place.... gotta get my fifty studded up!
