Organization in the garage – Where to get shelving

It is time to clean out my garage and get ready for winter. As many can attest my garage looks like world war III. As Jay recommended I need more shelving. I am looking to get two or three shelves that can hold a good amount of weight. I want to place my tools (saws, ratchet set, wrench sets, air tools, etc. that do not fit in my tool chest onto these shelves. Anyone have recommendations were to buy them? The ones I saw this weekend were almost $80. I refuse to pay that much on shelving.

give it the college touch. Cinder blocks and wood planks. If you want to build them from wood, a good place to get free timber is at constuction sites.

Last night with the extra wood I was going to build a custom one. Then i decided I would want something that would last another move. I still might go that route.

Go to the super market. Ask for display racks, the plastic ones for aisle displays. they are typically designed to hold 50lbs per shelf and about 5 feet high. Ask for Soda or booze ones, they are the strongest. They also break down really small.
