Sportbikes wave to sportbikes

Harley guys wave to Harley guys.

But do you Sportbike riders wave to the Harley guys?

Do you wave to anyone?

I still don't understand this Harley Sportbike wave thing.

I've waved to the Harley guys and they seem to ignore you so I usually turn the wave into a

A while ago, I did an experiment to see how many Harley guys would wave back if I waved at them first. Everyone with the exception of one guy did - and he gave me the finger. Later I found out that ftrain gave him a big thumbs down which made him flip the bird.

I did notice that if I didn't wave first, 90% of them did not initiate.

I am an equal opportunity waver.

If I see a sportbike I wave to them on instinct.
Not because I know them or anything, but just because I am needy and want someone to wave back at me so that I can feel good about myself.
Other than that - if I see someone waving (whether they are on a sportbike, or on a Harley, or in a car, or in a dumptruck, or on a unicycle) - you can bet yer *** I'm waving back at them.... maybe even tooting the horn if the situation calls for it.

I thought Harley riders needed to keep both hands on the handlebars at all times to prevent the bars from rattling off the bike, and in turn creating a chain reaction of events that would leave a 1/2 mile-long trail of tractor parts strewn about the roadway.

lol oh chris, that's sad. lol. i'll wave to you if i see you. i wave to bikes i see...but i just get looked at, so i don't bother anymore. lol. i find it scary when old guys in beat up trucks wave to me...lol. then i run.

think it's also a gender thing?? i wonder if the guys on harleys wave to the ladies on sportbikes more than they would the guys...out of courtesy, that could be a possibility. hmm...

That was so funny. JJ, Cam, and I are going down the road in Framingham. I see three Harley guys coming at me and I stick out my tongue and give them big thumbs down. Then Cameron comes along with his big smiling waving to everyone and the Harley guys give him the finger. We get to my friend’s house and Cameron is all upset because the Harley guy gave him the finger. JJ and I were dying laughing because Cameron could not figure out why.

any guy that wheelies for me, without being urged to by my friends frantic waving and such, definitely has my props! lol...but it all depends on the type of wheelie it is! i can respect those that don't due to the area...but they better wave!! LOL .....

i wave to all bikers though if they seem nice. then there's the squids...NEVER WAVE TO SQUIDS

Seeing how I ride both sport and HD I wave to everyone....Unfortunatly some of the die hard HD riders dont seem to respect. The way I see it, no matter who wave to em all if thy dont respect then F em! Peace out!

heres my take on it.. i respect anyone that rides on 2 wheels. let's face it, we are the minority and are all in the same boat, harleys/cruisers or sportbikes. i try not to dis anybody on a mtorcycle because of the fact that we are far and few compared to the cagers...granted some peeps can be aholes on harleys but i have met my share of snot nosed punks that are just as bad but i still respect them all.
as for waving--i only wave to sportbikes,i will only wave to harley/cruisers if i am waved to first.

Actually, I've noticed that the die-hard harley people are the ones that wave. They're the ones that don't give a **** about that Harley bad-boy image and just like to ride. On the other hand, those weekend-warrior wannabe billy-badass types are the ones that act like they're too cool to wave back. And to them, I say

Don't be a hater. Not everyone is man enough to ride a twin.
