These guys charge double retail prices on all their parts. $75.00 to mount and balance a tire. WTF

On top of that the clutch that I called to get a price on was 300 dollars then another 24 for a gasket. It was a Barnett clutch so I called them direct, $157.00 plus $5.00 for shipping. Then the gasket was $9.24 and Greater Boston Homosports was $24.34.

Their parts guy is a Homo. He hung up the phone on me because I question if he looked up the correct part or not because the price seemed a bit high?? I was not rude I politely asked "Hey that seems a bit high did you look up the right part? That's double retail price!!

Then I call back and ask what his problem is he hangs up on me again???

I don't understand how these guys get away with these prices and their horrible customer support? Is this the new 2003 F you in the A with a big D and a bucket of sand customer service mentality?

They blow up their prices and they feed off of customers that Don't have a clue. Majority of their customers,have no idea what a sprocket is? That's why they get away with it...customers should just say when they bring their bikes in...I'll have either the straight lube or the rough ride special.

I stay far away from them as much as I can. I know people that work in each place and they say the same thing....Try somewhere else...hahahahaha

I gotta say that i'm a little surprised by these reports....Rob T. at GBM, along with Brian Kent, hooks me up bigtime there. I'm racing for them this year and that in itself would not be possible without their support.

As for the prices, I dont know about that one. i guess you can look at it like apartments. you pay way more for an apartment in boston than you do in the woods of NH where i live....maybe because GBM is so close to boston, that is why they have higher prices, convenience factor for those living in or real close to the city.

i would just suggest that you ask for rob t. when dealing with them. he is super cool and will go out of his way to help you out...go directly to HIM and tell him that teach sent you...

sorry about all you guys with bad experiences there, hopefully not all of them are like that.

I think it is a pattern I am noticing. I too have called places and recieved the your nobody important treatment as well. They seem to cater to the select few. All others they dont seem to give a **** about. Its too bad its so political to get a deal on someting for a bike! I have mentioned your names to a couple of places and it is a hit or miss with some businesses. KW is still the best deal over Comp Edge (just my opinion). I've had people tellin me they are gettin $600 deal for chromies there. I mentioned acouple of names and they couldnt compare to KW. Just wanna say thanks a bunch Chris from KW and I am heading up there shortly. Ive had the best luck for parts at Windmill Cycle in N. Dartmouth. Ask for Bobby he is a great guy. As for using all your names for hookups I for one thank all of you guys.

 

Dropping a name is nice sometimes but you feel like a ***** after a while. I know so and so can you hook me up.

Don' feel like a *****. This is how I see it, Shops that sponsor groups need to know that the group they are sponsoring are working for them. Everytime you drop a name they should be looking at it like these guys are sending me more business.... this is why I need to continue to sponsor them and your getting a deal on top of that so it works 2 ways. Thats how I look at it for our sponsors.
