Ice Racing!!!

This sunday at Nutts Pond off of South Willow in Manchester. 2 seconds off the highway. get your fiddies and big bikes ready.

no motorcycles allowed and fourwheelers are frowned upon--sorry guys!

the fiddys are ready at the McNeil Garage and the 450 is literally minutes away from the tires being mounted!

Besides Nutts, my bro and I found a sick pond perfect for fiddys 3 miles from my house...been ripping the past 2 days and it is sick! flat tire #1 already done and gone, but more than worth it. we can meet at my place or franzinos whenever we feel the need...

but this sunday, grab your NUTTS!!!

Re: Ice Racing!!!

sounds like fun...ice racing is supposed to start down here this coming weekend in sturbridge, i still gotta set up all my bikes..ughh. Anyway i didn't know if you guys heard about the possible 50 motard race at F1 boston (the go kart place). it is supposed to be february 26th (or the sunday that is right around that day). The promoter is supposed to send me flyers next week, but if everything works as planned it should be sick.

Re: Ice Racing!!!

nice, F1 stealing ideas! that place is redonkulously overpriced! but keep up posted on the motard...might not go simply cuz i hate changing tires and i'm studded up already!

we are riding every sunday on the ice from here on out...unless it is nice enough to practice the streetbike

i hear ya on that one, but Argos needs to get rid of some RR's ( bandwagon effect ) and one of my other sponsors is a Honda Powerhouse dealership, so the honda goes well with them!!!

i'm hoping i dont suck at SW on the honda since i havent even ridden it yet...doh!

i got studs on both sides of the 450, probably the same guy who studs up the tires out west...there aren't too many guys that do 'em right.

the tires aren't shaved, but i'll sacrifice side grip for being able to turn left and right!!!

Re: Ice Racing!!!

your right, studing a tire is a science...takes a lot of time and testing to figure out the best stud setup....what a pain in the *** it is running 1000's of studs in a tire---makes it hard to even drink beer

teach---are you telling me your riding a 900rr when you say RR??????????????????

if so.......WHY would you do that?!

Re: Ice Racing!!!

teach...who do you get your tires from. most of the flat track customers i have go to jay skidmore, just wondering who else was out there if you use someone different. i am pretty impressed with his tires

once i hear more from the guy about f1 i will post up in here or in our board. he is supposed to send me a flyer soon.

Re: Ice Racing!!!

tires are from my buddy SG (above) and Jayroot...local fast guy at loudon. he usually ddrives to canada to get them and comes home with 10 sets or so, already presold.

i had to *****, moan, fight, and claw to get the left/right side tires so that i dont have to go left all the time. they aren't shaved or anything, but i'll tell you what: they are effing nasty!!!

be on the ice sunday with them!!!

naw, root doesnt like the fiddys in the winter..we own that one!

just go to naults in manchester and pick up some michelin starcross tires...make sure to get the 2.5's NOT the 2.75's.

buy around 500 gold screws and put one screw in each ****, two in the middle one. for the rear make a pattern of 2-3-2-3 etc in the center ****...throw some baby powder in the mix if you feel like it, keep the studs off anything hard and come ripping!!!

we are planning a night session with glow sticks a weeknight in the near future!

Re: Ice Racing!!!

ok thanks for the info Teach.

If you remembered who I am...I don't think it's all that wise to show my face at Nault's (tried the selling thing....kinda pissed some off {yourself included}...sorry about that)

But I am lucky enough to have second-wind now in F&I at Freedom....more my thing (and teaching math PT for the insurance bene)

Planning to trick out a TTR50 soon.....the ice thing might make it happen that much sooner.

We were thinking about making 50 races in the new warehouse (it's freakin huge incase you haven't come by the new store)
