Took Buster to the vet this week. He tested postive for heart worm. Looks like when I adopted him he already had it since I give him his heart worm pills each month

For treatment he gets three shot through the muscle. 1 shot at first. Then a month later he get two shots 1 day apart. The second set of shots he stays in the hospital for a bit since it is a very critical time. The worms can clog an artery when they die and then the dog could have an anurism.

He is 3 years old which is good. Since he is young and healthy. The pills prevent them which he has taken each month while I had him. Camille is a vet tech and has always taken care of him. The doctor thinks he got the worms before we rescued him. Which means he has had them for over a year which is not good. The longer he has it the more they develop.

I need to come up with $750 this week to start treatment.
