Re: The new edition to the family
well im gonna save at least like 7500...the 2001 and the 2002 seem kinda the same...i just want sumthin nice wit low miles....i want a 600 but everyone says go for the 750 at least....im not sure wat to do
Re: The new edition to the family
That's my roomates 1000 it's a 2001. F'n sweet bike!!! I think the only change to them in that year(2001-2002) was the type of choke system. I could be way wrong but I know that I heard my roomate saying that was one of the differences.
I'd say get a 750 also, you'll get sick of any 600 you get. Just my opinion.

Re: The new edition to the family
is there a big price diffrenc eint he 600 and 750...i kinda want to get a good deal....but i want it to look nice...but ya everyone says ill get bored of a 600 fast...but ill keep lookin for watever deal i can find
Re: The new edition to the family
A.) You won't get bored with a 600 that fast unless your main objective of 'riding' is doing power wheelies or blasting down the highway at triple digits.
B.) Your name is Kyle Gixr600 - it would be a lot easier to buy a 600 then change your name...(why do you think I bought an F4i back in the day?)
C.) The bike pictured above is a perfect first bike. It's a little rashed, but it's still pretty on one side. And chicks dig it.

Re: The new edition to the family
I would not expect anyone to get bored with a 600. If you do than you're far the better rider than anyone I know. I've been on the 929 over 4 years and 30,000 miles and I just bought a 600RR as my second bike. If I can ride it to it's limits, well ****, I guess I'll sign up for AMA racing.
I went up two teeth on the rear sproket on my 929 and it's rediculously too much power. There is no need for it. I have the rear tire spinning and sliding all over the place in the turns and the front end is lifting in the first three gears under hard acceleration. It's way too much for any riding I could imagine and I will probably go back to stock sprockets.

Alright let me clarify why I said that you'd get sick of a 600. We're on Stuntlife.com. Most of us stunt. I'm not saying you can't stunt a 600, hell I do and look at G-nice! I'm just saying I think it will be better to stunt on a 750. It has a little bit more umph.
If your idea of riding is hittin' triple digits afap, I still say get a 750 or higher. It sucks riding with my buddies when we're on the highway and they just roll on it and they're gone. I'm like "WTF, keep up little buddy R6 c'mon"
I'm not saying there's no need for a 600 class. I love my R6. They're fun as hell, and nimble as a ****. You can totally wip them around.
There's no way I've ridden my bike to it's out and out potential, I ain't that good but I know how to ride her and I still say get a 750.
One of our buddies(non stunter) bought a 2004 R6. He used to ride back in the day, 96 SRAD. He's good. He said "Well the bikes have come a long way from what I used to have. So instead of going up in size I can probably stay with a 600 and be happy. Now he has it and was ready to trade it in about a month after the purchase to go up in cc's.
Alright enough stoned rambling sorry.
