I just went to our local track with the bike like that and laid it over in the parking lot on cement and it still looks all good!...let alone the 2 times I laid it over on the track

wow! then thats what we need scratch resistant plastics!
We play in parking lots alot, The stock plastics gouge baaad on cement. But our fiddy is so mean it thinks the scratches are badges of courage haha:D

Is this chrome plastic just the factory plastic with some sort of film over it? What type of process is used to make this?

Yes it is, it does not make the plastics any stronger, but there just as durable as normal plastics. I laid it over in the parking lot going really slow...it pretty much just fell over...

I used a ghetto *** roll of chrome tin tape. Everytime I ball up, I just slap some more on.
It looks like a big *** foil ball.
