88cc engine kit help

What do you guys think is the quickest and best speed-related performing 8cc engine kit.. preferrably under $1500.

I was recommended by a man who sells TB engine.. that his 88cc TB(trailbikes) engine kit for $4x0 with a 13.1 compression ratio and 6hp is real good, and smokes takegawas, should I go for that? or is a Takegawa R Stage combo kit for $850 really worth it?

If not one of those which is recommend as quickest? Thanks

Re: 88cc engine kit help

Fab5Fiddy knows his 88 kits, I think he sells em too. He would be the man to ask.

From what I gather, the takegwa kits are pretty good, not many problems.

Re: 88cc engine kit help

you can go that fast oon a stocker if you go down hill
the way to go is with gearing
17 front and 30 rear and you can do well over 60mph with a 88 kit
i run a 15 / 37 and do 56 mph now on my 103 with 8 inches wheels
do the math with 10 inch wheels and it is well over 60 mph
and that is way to fast for that size wheel already

Dragging it behind a car or truck would work.
