does anyone have a specific pair of shoes that you have to wear when riding the fiddy? i went out for a ride yesterday and forgot to put my DC fiddy shoes on. i figured ohh what the hell im just goin for a quick whip. got out on the street and started rockin a 3rd gear pop-o-whoolie. she started to feel light, so like always, i start to ride the brake to keep her from loopin. damn near flipped that bitch on top me 3rd gear pinned cuz my shoes didnt feel right on the brake pedal. it felt like i was pushing harder than i was. lesson learned. i wont step on my bitch unless i have the right shoes on.

 

You're not alone man. I ride with nuttin but DC shoes. I supose other skateboard shoes would be good as well. I find when I wear other sneakers they slip off the brake pedal alot. Skateboard shoes also are very stiff so they don't feel squishy or mushy when yer ridin.

well i rock strictly DC all the time anyhow. but im just saying. i can only ride with this certain pair i have. just feels right or something i dunno. call me goofy.

 

I dont really have that problem, if i'm riding with my Etnies i do fine, if i'm riding with my adidas gym sneaks i do fine.

But i can see your point, with the adidas you have to push harder on the rear brake.

 

im the same way, i cant ride without my DVS's on..... the toe of my right shoe is practically worn threw from the break pedel.... everything else just feel wierd.....

 

I always wear BMX/skate shoes. I've tried a lot of the brands. I dont like DC that much, they dont seem as comfortable. Etnies are good, but fall apart faster. Lately ive been using a pair of Osiris and they are holding up real good any they are comfortable too. It really all comes down to what you get used too. They'res a new BMX shoe company that just came out called Orchid, and i think i remember reading that they put in a special reinforcement or something for your pedals, that might be good for fiddies.

 

totally i have to wear my k-swiss 1999 limited adition shoes or i wont even put a leg over it lolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll i like feelin my foot pegs and stuff ...

 

i bought these $20~30 pair of nss shoes somewhere. they rock! **** paying for the name, these shoes lasted 3 years. longer than any pair i've had. i just bought a 2nd pair. on topic i equally suck with any shoes i'm wearing. except once i though it would be cool to wear those shoes with the wheels, BAD IDEA.

 

Hmmm....weather doesnt matter for me, shoes dont matter for me, road doesnt matter for me. I could go on for days F*** the excuses, just ride, do it.

I have heard of the tether for drunk driving, but the girlfriend tether? That sucks.

 

DC shoes are the sh*t, I also like to rock my airforce ones. They are kind of flat and feel good on the brake.

I wore different shoes on the fiddy today and they have this hard piece in the center that made me slip off the peg and bash my shin. So i'm sticking with my beat up sneaks till they're beyond fiddy use!

Im picky also, I will only wear my DC manteccas. I am on my third pair of the same shoe, I hope they dont stop making them, lol.

Oh yea gotta have my Doc's boots on. They are what I learned to ride in and anything esle just feels weird!!!!
