for less than $100 you should be able to get new fork springs and a new rear spring, along with a new triple clamp that moves the stock bars out. (see jbaker for the clamp).

Those mods make 100% difference and they cost less than the plastics.

Big bore when you get the skills down.

If you just concentrating on wheelies and stoppies right now I'd say big bars first. This helped out immensely with my stoppies......But......if you are into jumping off of ledges and vehicles and other **** I'd lean towards the front/rear springs.

Directions come with the new spring.

You take off the whole shock assembly. Then you have to heat the top eye (my gas stove did it in about 45 seconds) and it screws out of the whole assembly. Then slide off the old and on the new, and screw the eye back onto the assembly. Took me about 15 min. taking plastics off included and not knowing **** and having to read the directions.

Wink Best mod

Bars without a doubt. Don't even waste your time on the stock shock, buy a real one.

What?

Why would a big man want a little man's bars on his bike? My six year old daughter would rather have the big bars. Why you need a sissy bar to catch you? Can't wheelie that big bad 50 on your own???

The guy wanted to know the best mod.

I gave him 3 mods that you can do for under $100..!!. Big bars and clamp is hardly gonna be close to that.?

But if you want to go that way, I guess the best mod would be to just buy the whole damn Fast 50's kit for like $3500, then huh?
