Tons of fiddy goodies & new 1000RR goodies!!

had my friend who is a honda service tech come over tonight for drinks/pizza & bike work. I needed my 600 mile service done & my yosh pipe installed, plus work on my 2 fiddys.

Needless to say, everything went fine, my bike is in great shape, tightened down my throttle, lubed everything, checked all bolts, checked tire pressure, did the intake flapper mod (600 & 1000rr guys know about this), and did the new pipe.

** sound clip w/ both my garage doors open, 1st start up on the 1000RR w/ the new pipe**
http://www.streetneeds.com/uploads/v..._soundclip.MOV

Here is the 1000 progress:

and lots of my new Fiddy goodies arrived today - when i bought my 88cc bigbored fiddy i decided to make it "darkness" and went for all black plastics and seats (came w/ budlight blue plastics & seat) also did a sik50's heavy duty shock & spring, bbr skid plate, SDG big seat, longer black flex shifter, longer rear brake lever, chm exhaust, and it came w/ a fast50's h'bar kit (which i didnt care for at all) and the stock forks were shot, well i decided to do a bit more to it:

>sik50's powdercoated rear swing arm
>sik50's mx handlebar kit
>sik50's black powdercoated engine covers
>sik50's gastube
>custom built longer travel heavy duty front forks
>some new bad *** tires
>black adult sized foot pegs

some of the goodies:

all the bikes

foot pegs:

gas cap tube

on the bike:

new handle bar kit (much nicer kit then the fast50's):

swing arm & covers:

new tires (mine are bald)

also bought new black rims from sik50's but they sent the wrong sized rims

have a CDI box coming in (higher rev limitter) next week for the above fiddy

i also bought some goodies for the crf50 (red one) since its basically stock. I bought it used w/ a 2bro's exhuast, 2 bro's handlebar kit, and extended shifter, since then i've only put a BBR big seat on it.

But have a cdi box, 60 main jet, & k&n filter going on this weekend.

My friend didnt have time to help w/ the fiddy's tonite and i'm heading out of town for the weekend -so he said he'd do both the fiddy's over the weekend.

Guy is so cool he said he only wanted $40-50 for all the work to the 1000RR & this weekends work to the fiddy's - i was like no ****ing way man, gave him $150 & gave him all the pizza he could eat. Much rather have him do work for me then take it to the dealer for a rip off.

also having him put new better fork springs in my stock forks and will have those for sale, as well as the fast50's hbar kit, i have blue budlight plastics & seat, and 2 stock exhuasts (1 brand new basically & 1 pretty used -came off the 88cc bike)

850 miles on it actually - he was 10 days late on getting my 600 mile done. Basically had to let it sit a while b/c the dealership sent my title/tags to thewrong address & my temps expired - took them 6 weeks to get me my tags/title

then let it sit the past 10 days too since i didnt want to go much over the 850 miles before servicing. Now i'm all set i'll get some good mileage on her!!

here's info on the flapper:

not sure honestly what i want for the fast50 kit (handlebar, cable, tower, throttle) its a good kit, just doesnt fit well for my size & how i ride. Then i also really liked the black set up & design of the sik50 mx kit.

my 88cc i bought used from a fellow member here & he sent it w/ the fast50 bar kit & the blue budlight plastics & seat - i dont particularly care for the blue look or bud light hehehe - so i have those sitting around.

looks like i may also now have a brand spanking new sik50 mx tower clamp for sale too - didnt realize it wouldnt fit on the new fork set up - so i'm going to use the fork set up first to see if it works well for me & if it doesnt then i'm going to bore out the fittings in the sik50 clamp to fit on the new forks

i'm anxious to see how the feel - should know tonite.
I wish the sik50 top/clamp would fit w/o mods, but these forks are custom made so i would have to bore out the sik50 holes to make it fit. Going to give it a shot as you see in the above pics & if i want more i'll have the sik50 clamp bored out.

I'll report on these when done - but this is the guys ad i got them from:

Re: Tons of fiddy goodies & new 1000RR goodies!!

have you ridden a 600rr tim? I mean they are nice on a track but for stunting they arent the best... Dosent make much power down low till like 11k or soemthing lol when i rode one my head was over the front tire...didnt feel very comfortable to me. Check out a 929 or F4i "if you want strictly honda" before you buy..... I like the way my buddys 954 with loads of mods feels.. 130+,knee down it feels just as stable as 80 on the highway. Mabye you have checked out a lot of bikes before making up your mind.. just trying to help you out a little bit. If you want stuntbike do what im gonna do "get a 900rr or 929" they are tried and proven to work nice~ I havent had a r6 in the twisties but i have done some stand ups on one.. they feel pretty good, bit more twitchy then some of the other bikes. I like the looks of the new zx10r but i havent riden one. Bah ill stop rambling now!
