Got stupid Saturday morning. Pulling a 2nd gear wheelie down a dirt road and braked a bit. Rear locked and I lowsided. Landed on my right knee. My knee hit a large sharp rock sticking out and gouged a huge hole in my knee. Went to the ER and they said it was too big to stitch up. They put two stitches in it just to hold it closer together. I got a tetanus shot, pain killer shot, antibiotic shot, and 20 shots in the wound to numb it while they dug around in there. Went to the ortho doc yesterday and he said I missed the important stuff by a mm up or down. I can't bend my leg for another two weeks. Sucks!!! Ill be the goofball on a 50 with full mx gear from now on. Wear some gear f00s!

The worst part is I can't bend my knee. My leg is cramping like a ****. Oh and I had just bought the f'ing CRF50 the day before.

im old so i always wear knee pads kidney belt gloves helmet all that ****
couldnt see riding without it just because of one little freaky thing happening can ruin your whole ride your lucky its just for a few weeks like the doc said few mm either way and youda been worse off
wear your gear is always a good thing and after a while you will feel naked without it cause you get used to it like second nature

 

I wont be doing it again. Thats for sure!

3 months ago i wasted my knee on a 25 foot double
total acl replacement with scopes on the lcl and the mcl
thearpy was going great it took 1 month till i could bend my knee enough
to get on the fiddy and just screw around
then two friends put ovals in their yard
i started out just playing around but you guys know how it is
your boys pull up next to you and a knee doesn't matter any more

so last week while leading heat race #3 i was sliding out of turn two
and she hooked hucked my *** 10ft in the air and then landed right on my knee now my knee is as big as a basketball and i find out friday if i have to go under the knife again to have my mcl repaired thats racing

Ive been thinking of starting to wear my motocross gear. Its gonna take another good bail for me to give in and start putting it on.

 

Everyone I work with thinks Im handicapped because I always seem to have a limp from wrecking. Three weeks ago it was my left knee from wheelieing the kx250 in the street and now the right knee from the 50. No one noticed. Im just the guy that walks with a limp. They'll be shocked when I can actually walk straight.

I bet I miss two days of work a month from bike wrecks alone. I think my boss thinks I have a serious medical condition I have so many doc appts. I know the doc at the ER on a first name basis. He gives me **** everytime I walk in there. I have to start wearing more gear.

Oh and whatever you do don't do a belly flop off the roof into a 2 1/2 foot deep kiddie pool no matter how much money your friends give you.

Back when I was 7 I slashed my knee up like that. My whole kneed cap was shreded, and you could see the bone. They couldnt stich it up and I almost lost my leg to the infection I got.
