best mod ever for a stock 50
i just put a uni pod filter (1"x3") that removed the air box, and the bike runs so much better with that thing on there. i didnt have to rejet, and the bike has so much more pep to it. i think the uni # is 4112, but it is the best $20 i have ever spent on that bike.

Yea I have my airbox modded out for max airflow and my spark arrestor is cut off too. The needle is on the 5th clip (very top) and I'm running 110 octane race fuel (pure C14) in it. The sucker hauls ***. I can get it up to about 40MPH on flat ground (verified by police radar). I think the big street tires help with the top speed a bit.

Yeah true, i know all the calculations and engine theory and i guess i should have said that bottom end isn't everything to everybody.
I'm just saying that everyone is so concerned with losing bottom end and for all we know maybe he's just parking lot racing this thing and top end is what he wanted anyhow.
Torque is the basis, HP is the result

K&N's are cool if your just stunting it but if your riding a lot of dirt ide go with a UNI. the K&N's just clog up way too fast and you have to end up cleaning them all the time. the POS filter that comes with the Takegawa kits is even worse.
