Question anyone have any used stock front forks?

For a 2002 XR50 ? Mine are a little bent......Only need the chrome part - the gold metal tube/housing seems to be straight.

I posted this in the parts wanted forum - but not many hits/views on it - so let me know.

*If I do not find some - I will get some new ones from Shugga.

Eric - Shugga had the best deal of a rear spring - so it make sense that he would have the best deal on a shock............

Best part - I tell ya later.......

I'm in need of the same part for my z50r.
Does anyone know if the forks from a 1982 z50 will fit a 1997 z50? They kinda look the same and I can get a good deal on them...only $20.

Thanks

'88-'99 is a generation, but some parts from earlier generations may fit. Id try to stick to '88-'99 though.

????? sounds like you must half messed up the rear shock? How did you do that?

My bent fork story............ready for this........go get some popcorn................ok..........ready.......... .....

Well it all started when I first got the bike from CycleWerkz - it was a trade in - A guy had traded it in on another bike. It seems that his son hit a curb and flipped over and it scared the little kid and he did not want it any more. So the father traded it in on another bike.

ok - this is where I come into the picture............so I went up there to look at it and saw the bent forks - and Cycle Werkz told me the story...............

So after me and the rest of the XTC crew riding it crashen it loopin it out - well the bushing are worn out and the only way to fix it is to get new forks.

Story over...............

Toon in tomorrow when Eric tells a story about he (and the SSB boyz) were stuntn the Fiddy...........and messed up the rear shock.

Come on - I told my story - it is only fair........

Matt - it seems that you , Nags and I post to much stuff - see in the Skerlee Sportbike forums - Slacker thread.........LOL

CRAZY DAN is a decent person
I bent the **** outa mine too, just pull them out and put them in a vise, use the pipe straightner side of the vise. if that dont work, i can hook you up with them at cost. like 40.00 per side. 80.00 for complete built lower forks. all then you have to do is change out the fork spring with some Fast50 heavy duty springs!!

Holla!

Cool

my forks were already slightly bent after i let a neighbors kid ride my xr and after almost looping it (pushed it away from me) i put a nice bend in one fork leg. i've since upgraded to a pair of chromoly +1 legs a bit heavier than the stock but they look alot stronger, id opt for the beefier aftermarket ones over stock if you'r gonna replace them. any way back to practicing

Apparently my tiny 195lb frame and bouncing off curbs exceeds the weight limit noted on the sticker located on the rear finder of my son's 50. I think it said "max weight not to exceed 88lbs"................hummmmm, I don't see the problem.

Actually, I thought it was no big deal.................................I would just rebuild it. No, that would be to easy..................you can't rebuild them, you must purchase a new one for a mear $140 bucks. Oh yea, for that price, I'm sure I'll be jumping the **** out of now. And that my friends, is my lamo story.

Matt, I didn't bend the forks from hitting the curb, I blew out the seal on the rear shock.
