anything on ebay is exactly the same, just look close. if its under $800 for a new one, theyre EXACTLY the same. theres a handful of manufacturers in china making all of them, theres some variation in them but they all do around 30 mph

Re: Best pocket bike?

Ok most of the chinese ones are blata knockoffs. Like the above post said they all look pretty much the same. The best price i've seen is $300 shipped on ebay, they do 30-40mph. What I noticed today though is that Autozone now sells the exact same knockoffs for $400. Its a hundred more than ebays best prices but this way if it breaks you just take it back and say "i want another one, or give me money back."

I was gonna buy one but have decided to splurge and just get a crf50.

Okay thanks for the info. Im actually not getting one my friend is. I already told him that they are junk and your gonna just be pissed when it breaks. Because i know a guy who bought a cheap 50cc quad off ebay same chinese thing as the pocket bikes and they were like oh man this such a great deal. 2 hrs later it broke and i laughed. If it were my choice i would get an xr50 or something but hey what can you do.

Re: Best pocket bike?

i would probably sell mine, its a GRC Midi 18 highly modified (carbon fiber reed, high compression, bored, etc) custom steering dampner, custom intake/exhuast, best tires you can buy. I bought it 1 season old from 1 of the top east coast riders about 2 years ago and have probably riden it a total of 5 hours. I had it custom painted to match my show car and just never really enjoyed riding it that much (fiddy's are more fun in general). Some of the best known east coast affiliated racers (past champs)would vouch for the bike. I paid $1800 and then spent about another $300 in paint.

I'd let it go for $1750

This is completely true. I've had two versions of these chinese knockoffs and they are both the same speed. The only difference may be how the frame is built. The 49cc ones from Autozone that have the headlights and are slightly bigger are not as fast as the chinese knockoffs. They weigh a lot more and just don't have much speed to them. I have raced one of the 49cc ones from Autozone and while he was full throtle I wasn't then by the time he had reached his top speed I floored it and pulled on him probably a couple car lengths. Heres the bikes that I have.

Re: Best pocket bike?

Myself and a friend both bought the 47cc ones from autozone. My local autozone had both the 49cc one with headlights and also the 47cc smaller one. And yes the 47cc's are faster. Mine looks exactly like the one on the left as does my friends.
