Big Bore FINALLY DONE!!! Thanks Everyone!!
Big Bore FINALLY DONE!!! Thanks Everyone!!
I finished the project today. Thanks to everyone that lended me some advice.
I recommend anyone doing the upgrade on there own who isn't an expert to buy the honda xr50r shop manual.
It's great! I plan to convert it to PDF very soon
The only real problem I had was not having a few tools, like a torque wrench and valve spring compressor! Oh well, the dealer will do it cheap, cost me $20 for everything I didn't have a tool to do myself.
I also purchased Classic Hondas DVD on topend rebuild. I don't know if I would recommend it or not. It was helpfull to me since I had never done a rebuild.
Hell, I play with computers for a living
I was planning on upgrading to 106cc's but 88cc with a ported head really does the trick.
I added a kitaco rev booster(CDI) and a BBR exhaust(too loud for neighborhood rides, I will use it at the track though!)
:YEAH I'm
AGAIN!!!
I must say that the stock motor is easier to stunt but I can pull the front wheel off the ground at will in any gear at any speed with 15/37.
I think I will probably drop down to 33 in the rear or go up to 16 in the front. I haven't made up my mind yet.
