Re: highchairs help

sit further back on the seat and its all about timing, the weight trasfer with pulling on the bars and throttle it all has to happen at exactly the same time

Re: highchairs help

Do Not sit all the way back..looks really gay and lowers the balance point..No Good.. practice and loop it really quick so you get over what ever fear there is..keep it in first until you can rock out for BLOCKs

Re: highchairs help

Make sure you can rock first gear smooth first, then try jsut the left leg over the bars so you can still cover the brake. Once you get comfortable with those, throw the other leg up and go for it. You shouldn't have to rev it high before you bring it up; you should be just barely moving in first, then, like Brian said, just roll on the throttle and lean back. My fiddy is stock except for BBR bars.

I started doing the 1 leggers last night, and within a few minutes I was walking them out, so my buddy says "allright show off, let's see both legs up". I went for it, and it was a lot easier than I thought it was gonna be. Again, make sure you can wheelie first gear smoothly with throttle control and not brake, because you don't have the brake to catch ya!

Re: highchairs help

definetley dont sit farther back.. sit all the way forward so that the bars are right under your knees.. looks much better that way....

Also if you're further forward, it's not as twitchy, you can use the throttle a little more liberally, and you can get the front tire higher. I realized this late in the day today.

Re: highchairs help

what about second gear ? is anyone doing there highchairs in 2nd gear?
My first gear wheelies suck, my bike dosent seem to like to be wheelied in first, the motor revs out and its sooooo loud, and I have that Red Barron 1/4 turn throttle as soon as I pick it up in 1st I loop it..... now I can use the brake and rock super slow high balance point wheelies in second , and long fast wheelies in 3rd, but I can't F with 1st gear stunts..... could it be my throttle, or do I just suck?

Re: highchairs help

I agree with everyone about being higher up on the tank (midweststunters just have a different way of doing things ) NynFyv4 is the KING of 2nd gear BP highchairs...its scary fast looking ..not for me his advice is great.

How to make it easy:
go really slow...sit high up...through the legs up and wack the throttle at the same time...it will come up no matter what...the key is getting the weight up in ur legs. it will come up fast when you are going slow...if its coming up to fast...go a little bit faster.

everyone who can do them here in the chicago area are stocker's except for silver surfer

Yes I like blipping the throttle and having it come up instantly in 1st, 2nd or 3rd no matter where on the seat i'm sitting...... Its just way easier because the extra motor can compensate for having to throw around your body weight so much.

I was scared to death to try them until I got a set of handlebars with a lower center crossover bar and I installed a really nice handbrake. I don't find myself using the handbrake all the time but I know it has saved me from a couple of sure crashes if I didn't have it there. It really does wonders for a sense of security.
I can do them on 1st with no problem but I like doing faster 20-30 mph 2nd gear ones........ It seems like you are just floating at that speed and it trully is my most favorite 50 trick....... I can keep them up for about 2 blocks so far......

The scariest thing was when i was riding with GixxerNick and Rodger one day...... I was going about 10 mph and pulling my legs back down from a highchair and I accidentally cracked the throttle open with my right leg and instantly went into a 1 hand no legs wheelie...... I scarred the **** out of myself but I managed to save it. My heart was beating 240.

good luck and just keep practicing.
