We kept breaking levers on the crf150.. one after another.. since we put the asv levers on it never broke another one

Nags how do you like the CRF150 for stunting? it's going to be my next stuntbike.
Danimal some of the motorcross guys told me to me that I should leave the clamp somewhat lose so that It spins rather than brakes when you fall.( and I fall ALOT).

Thanks Jay...... if you cant be famous may as well be infamous.

Re: effin front brake lever

Here is a little tip to keep em from breaking. If you have the style that is part of the throttle leave it loose enought to turn if you crash but not so loose that the throttle turns when you give it full throttle.

This is an old dirtbike trick I learned from my old man. Same with the clutch. Leave the perch loose enough so that when you crash it just flips up and not break the lever. Sucks breaking a clutch lever when you are 10 miles deep in the woods.

Re: effin front brake lever

If you guys want to keep your levers from breaking here is what you do.

Take your perch off and get some teflon tape. Wrap some teflon tape around the bars where the lever is going to go. Then put you lever on over the teflon tape.

Next when you install you lever don't tighten both bolts evenly. Tighten the top one all the way down and the bottom one down just tight enough to where the lever is hard to spin on the bars by hand.

This way next time you wad up your 50 instead of the lever taking all the force you entire perch will spin. Then you just reach up spin it back and off you go to ride again.

I've done this to every one of my bikes and have not borken a lever yet. (knocking on wood) So try it out!

Yeah and so did FREE! I just added in the teflon tape tip. This way you can tighten the perch down more then you can with out it so it won't move when you grab it and it won't rattle loose.
